McIntosh Forestry Services, LLC

A huge maple hanging directly over a house, and multiple companies that did not want the job: one customer sent pictures to Tyler McIntosh and had a price quote and a scheduled date within minutes. McIntosh Forestry Services pitches itself on its website as tree care and forestry for Bangor and Hampden, Maine, and on Angi it says it holds a bachelor's degree in forestry. It carries a 4.9-star Google rating from 29 ratings, and the news site wabi.tv has quoted McIntosh on tree removal. One customer said the crew took down a tree in a tricky spot in about 45 minutes and cleaned the entire site up. On a three-tree job, a customer wrote that Tyler had two guys with him, the trees were on the ground within an hour, and his estimate was on target; that customer has also scheduled him for spring treatment of four ash trees for ash bore disease. After a giant pine came down in a storm, a customer said Tyler showed up fast and planned its removal. Trimming is part of the work too: for a tree whose branches hung over a fence and driveway, a customer said Mr. McIntosh came within a couple of hours to give an estimate, and his crew finished the job five or six days later and disposed of the debris. One customer said the price was very close to Tyler's quote. In a 2025 review, a customer who had started cutting one of two trees leaning in on the house said McIntosh used a technique the customer had never seen and put them down right where he wanted them. A 2025 customer said Tyler removed very large pine trees from a lake property without getting debris in the lake. A 2024 customer said foreman Josh was kind to their young son, who had many questions, and that the job site was cleaned up after a tree and stump removal. A 2023 customer said Tyler came at 11 a.m. to give an estimate and everything was cleaned up by 3 p.m. A 2023 customer said that after hearing from a "secretary," they had not heard back in a week.
