McPartlan Electric Inc is a small family electrical contractor working out of 92 Rayber Road, Unit 3 in Orleans, on the Lower Cape. Massachusetts' electrician registry verifies licence number 3560 as active and held in the company's own name; its BBB file records the business as started in 1995 with two employees and manager Francis McPartlan, and BuildZoom lists Francis X. McPartlan as owner alongside three other McPartlans. The written record is genuinely good but dated. Angi shows a 5.0 average from eight reviews, and every one of the eight bodies — all written between 2010 and 2015 — recommends the firm. Two run long and specific: a 2011 customer described an old-house rewiring finished with very minimal repair afterwards and called the value for money very good compared with other contractors, and another 2011 customer said Francis came out the next day on short notice, scheduled the work for the following week and left the house clean. A 2010 reviewer said they had used Francis since the early 1980s on major projects. Nothing more recent than 2015 appears on Angi. The checkable current activity is permits rather than reviews: BuildZoom's records show 50 permitted projects, including sample electrical permits in Chatham in 2021, and a 2022 Reddit commenter in an r/CapeCod thread on Outer Cape electricians recommended them, pasting the company's own site and saying they had done the commenter's renovation in Orleans. Things to confirm before booking: the firm publishes three different phone numbers across BBB, Angi and BuildZoom, its website is an unbuilt placeholder page, and the tenure it states on Angi is inconsistent (an 'over 25 years' blurb beside a '41 years of experience' highlight, against a BBB start date of 1995). Angi's own field says the firm offers free estimates and does not offer emergency service.
“Try McPartland Electric. https://www.mcpartlanelectric.com. They did my renovation in Orleans. Good electricians and great guys.”
The electrician was prompt and did the work in a timely and efficient manner. I would hire him for other work in the future.
prompt, polite and efficient! Good work guys!!!
Francis and his son Patrick were prompt and very efficient. I would use them again
We are totally satisfied with the work done by Francis and his crew. This was an old house and the work could have been really messy......but they were able to do the job with VERY minimal repair needed afterwards. He was very accomodating; he listened carefully to our requests and presented us with a plan/estimate with some modifications that did make a lot of sense. We liked a lot his willngness to work with us. Value for money was very good when compared to other contratcors. He and his crew were very friendly and really customer oriented. They were always available for any questions. And.....they did a clean up at the end.
I contacted Francis McPartlan on fairly short notice for several electricl projects. He was here the next day to review the options for what we wanted to do and scheduled time for the next week to complete the projects. His team was here on time, did all the items discussed professionally and left the house clean. Everything works perfectly and we would highly recommend using them as our permanent electrician.
