Melendez Electric is a Winthrop electrician, licensed and active with the state. The one written account on file, from a 2024 review, describes mixed results: the electrician wired a new house and did what the reviewer called "a fine job" overall, but the contract had specified dimmer switches that weren't installed. After the reviewer flagged it, the owner said in an email they'd come fix it — then stopped responding for weeks. Google shows a 3.5★ average from two ratings, though only the one review has text attached. With just one detailed account on file, it's worth getting the full scope of work spelled out in writing and confirming reachability before signing a contract.
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Melendez Electric. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
Standard receptacle swaps — a new dedicated circuit is a bigger job ($350–$750).
Flush mounts, pendants, chandeliers — hung on existing boxes.
Estimated range

Typical electrical project around $820
Melendez wired my new house and did a fine job except that my contract/work order stated dimmer switches which they didn't put in. The owner said they would come remedy that via an email on March 29. It is now April 26 and the owner has stopped replying to my emails. Definitely frustrated that the job wasn't completed as agreed.
