Review: Extremely Unprofessional and Disappointing Experience Although I initially had a verbal agreement with Méndez Tree Service (Eber), having chosen them because an incoming storm required quick scheduling for some large dead limbs—I immediately had second thoughts after meeting the owner. Unfortunately, those concerns were entirely justified. Here is a breakdown of the issues I experienced: • Poor Communication: After confirming Wednesday for the job, the owner went completely silent. Multiple calls and texts asking for a arrival time went unanswered. He later claimed he typed a response but forgot to hit send. • Unannounced and Intrusive Entry: Three men arrived in the morning wearing hoodies. Without the courtesy of ringing my doorbell to announce themselves, they walked straight onto my property, unlocked the back gate, and alarmed my neighbors. • Lack of Supervision: I had to contact the owner for explanation why he was not present on-site, and why didn't he instruct his crew not to access the property without permission. • No-Show and Last-Minute Changes: The day before the crew arrived, we agreed to meet so I could review the specific trimming needed again so everyone is on the same page. The owner agreed, then failed to show. When I called, he said he would be there in an hour, only to no show with no heads-up. He promised to be on site to check the work his crew did but never showed up at all and subsequently negotiate for more money. • Language Barrier: 1 crew spoke English but he was not the main guy onsite. The main person only spoke Spanish and the communication was difficult. I had to call Eber so he can communicate with his crew which was time consuming and annoying. • Incomplete Work: As shown in the attached photo, they completely missed a major dead spot. They claimed the climber couldn’t reach it, which is not my problem—the owner and I had specifically agreed to remove all dead limbs and branches. They simply left the job unfinished. • No Receipt: Recognizing my mistake in not getting a signed contract, I repeatedly asked for a receipt. He promised it by that evening, but is still nothing. You truly get what you pay for in terms of overall service. I would NEVER recommend Méndez Tree Service to anyone. Extremely unprofessional from start to finish. I would rather pay a lot more for better overall experience. I should have read the hand full of 1 star before I called this company.

Highly recommend! Did the job efficiently and exactly as I asked. Cleaned up perfectly! Great price!

Mendez tree service was quick to reply and come remove some large branches from a few trees in my backyard. Pricing was extremely reasonable. They were kind, professional, attentive and cleaned up everything after branches were removed. I’m very happy with their service and would definitely use again.

Incredible job removing tree and some branches that were huge; and Although the job so so complicated due to spacing and location they made it happen, The attention to detail care and respectfulness to my neighbors amazing!. I've had many tree services over the years, however they have truly knocked it out of that park. These guys are pros! Wow so impressed! I will hire them again without hesitation.
