Messina Foundations LLC calls itself a full service excavation, site work and foundation contractor with over 40 years of experience, equipped to take an undeveloped building lot to a complete foundation that is backfilled and graded, with drainage and concrete floors. Its website lists towns such as Roxbury, Woodbury, Watertown and Waterbury in its service area. A recent customer who hired Ron, the owner, twice said he excavated a site that was a mix of mushy organics and ledge, then poured the footings, walls and a 30x48 floor with radiant heating that came out flat and to budget. A two-car garage foundation came in slightly below the quote for a recent customer, who paid in three payments as milestones were met. For a 30X50 steel building, a recent customer wrote that Ron did the foundation, drainage, floor and final grading and kept the site clean and safe. A 2026 customer said Ron Messina prepared site work, drainage and foundation for their house in Bantam in 2020 and returned two years later to build the garage. A 2025 customer said Ron built a foundation and floor for a new two-car garage addition, and it came out exactly the way they had talked about. A 2025 customer hired the company for excavation, forming and construction of a new addition in Morris. A 2025 customer with a construction loan said they had agreed on disbursements after each stage, that he kept changing the agreement and delaying the job, and that they fired him and got another contractor.

I first worked with Ron 6 years ago when we added an addition to our home. Here's the first review I wrote then: Ron, the owner of Messina Foundations, was involved in every aspect of our foundation. He was on site everyday and always able to take time to answer my questions. He provided a quote the same day that he came out to our house and went above and beyond to make sure that our project was affordable and done correctly. He was able to squeeze a mixer truck between our house and garage (with inches to spare!) to avoid the expense of a pump. I was so pleased I had him replace my cracked and crumbling garage floor as part of the project as well. Don't hesitate to give Ron a call. He'll give you a no-nonsense quote and you can count on his experience to get your project done right. I didn't hesitate to call Ron again when my next project came up. Like the first time, he had a clearly written and detailed quote from step one. When it was time to start the job, he did a terrific job excavating. Our site was a mix of mushy organics and ledge, and Ron kept me informed every step of the way and provided me with options to help keep things in budget and solid for our foundation. His expertise in the excavator is a sight to see, and he very quickly transformed our muddy forest site into a buidling site that triaxles and concrete trucks could traverse without issue. He and his team did an outstanding job pouring the footings, walls, and a 30x48 floor with radiant heating. It came out beautifully flat and to budget! Like I said the first time around, Give Ron a call for your next project. You won't regret it!
We had a top-notch experience with Ron and his supporting team building our two car garage foundation. He was upfront with his quoting process and laid out all of the What Ifs and delivered a high-quality foundation slightly below what was quoted. We paid for the foundation in three payments as milestones were met, which I thought was fair. He is hard-working, and it is apparent that he tries his best to keep his customers happy despite having multiple projects happening at the same time. To sum up he is fair priced, delivers a high quality product, upfront, on time, hard working and just a good guy. I would hire him again.
We are very pleased with the excellent job Ron did with the foundation, drainage, floor, and final grading of the site for our 30X50 steel building. Ron’s easy going personality, knowledge, and experience was very helpful as he guided us with suggestions and clearly communicated the process throughout the job. He has a strong work ethic and kept the site clean and safe. We strongly recommend using Messina Foundations for your building project!
Ron Messina prepared site work, drainage and foundation for us when we built our house in Bantam in 2020. We had him return two years later to build the garage. He is very knowledgable, reliable and personable. It was a pleasure working with Ron, and we would heartily recommend him.
I would not use this contractor unless you can pay in cash upfront. I have a construction loan, and we agreed on a price and that he would take disbursements after each stage of the project was completed, and he kept changing the agreement and delaying the job. I ended up having to fire him and get another contractor. It has been a huge setback.
