Metrowest Mini Splits does one thing and does it in volume: heat pumps and mini-splits for Metrowest Massachusetts homes, out of a showroom in Southborough. Seventy-five written accounts across seven sources since 2022 land at 4.9 on Google across 63 ratings and 4.9 on both Angi and HomeAdvisor. The co-owners, Alan and Jamie, turn up in review after review doing the work themselves rather than sending a crew and disappearing. In a May 2026 review a homeowner with a leak in a ten-year-old Mitsubishi system said every other company quoted big money for a full replacement, but Alan asked to look for the leak, found it, and came back within a week with Jamie to replace the leaking lines. A March 2026 customer described Al walking them through ducted versus ductless at several price points before quoting. The Mass Save paperwork is the other constant. A February 2023 reviewer said Jamie priced out options, explained the rebates and 0% heat loans, and filled out the paperwork with them; a January 2025 customer said the same about the Mass Save program on an upstairs heat pump system. Boiler replacements and oil-to-heat-pump conversions come up too — an October 2024 customer said the company gave the lowest of four quotes on a boiler and finished a job estimated at one to two days inside a single day. A December 2023 review captures the scale they will take on: a 25-year-old whole-house HVAC system replaced with nine LGRED indoor units, with Jamie and Alan visiting twice beforehand to settle indoor unit placement and outdoor pipe routing. The honest counterweight is a 2-star review from April 2025. That customer found the outdoor unit very loud, felt the heat never fully kept up in an old New England house with a thick foundation, and concluded a heat pump alone might not be enough without a backup heat source in deep cold — though they later edited to say the cooling worked great and was quiet indoors. That is a fair thing to raise before you buy: in an older, poorly-insulated house, ask directly about backup heat and about outdoor unit placement and noise. Otherwise, for a Metrowest homeowner converting off oil or adding zoned cooling, this is a small, highly-rated, owner-run outfit with a deep and consistent record.
“If you are near the Metro West area, I recommend Metro West minisplits.”
I highly recommend this company! They were friendly, professional, and extremely thorough. They took the time to clean our mini split units properly, and the difference is noticeable. It’s clear they take pride in their work, and I really appreciate the care and attention to detail they put into the job. I’ll definitely be using them again in the future!
The service was timely, communication was great and all concerns were addressed.
Incredibly organized and friendly service!
MetroWest was one of the companies I called for a quote when I knew I had a leak in my 10+ year old Mitsubishi mini split system. Everyone quoted me big bucks to replace the system, but Alan asked if he could look for the leak. He found it and within a week was back with Jamie and replaced the leaking lines. I am beyond thrilled with MetroWest's work, communication, timing, and care. Highly, highly recommend and will definitely be calling them with any of my future HVAC needs!
Exceptional from start to finish! On time, friendly, knowledgeable, communicative. Underpromised and overdelivered. A Local in-town firm that "gets it". Call them.
