When a customer's summer cabin had no electricity, Chris at Meyer Electric agreed to come take a look on a 3-day holiday weekend. A few hours later the customer got a call: everything except the dryer was working, and Chris had diagnosed that the external underground wiring needed to be fixed to get that remaining outlet working. Meyer Electric holds a 5-star Google rating from 31 ratings. A customer who called first thing in the morning said Chris showed up at 4:30, diagnosed the problem, went to his house to pick up a needed part, came back and was finished at 6 o'clock. A 2026 customer said Chris took their home from 100 to 200 amps in a full service upgrade with a new panel and new exterior conduit and cabling, and also installed an EV charger and ceiling fans. That 2026 customer said that even though his "help" called out sick the night before, he completed the whole job in one very long day on his own, including the scheduling and work with GMP. A 2025 customer said other electric contractors told them they don't work in Burlington; Chris upgraded the service to 200 amps, redid the whole panel and ran a service to a shed and sauna. A 2025 customer facing a pending house sale said another company had quoted digging up half the property, and Chris found a solution that did not require heavy equipment, so the sale closed without delays. A 2025 customer said Chris found a creative solution for an EV charger when the panel and parking placement were not ideal, and that he and another employee got the job done quickly and quietly. A 2025 customer said Chris replaced a breaker box from the 1950s with a new, bigger box during a kitchen remodel. A 2025 customer wrote that Chris did the electrical for a bathroom renovation and helped with permit issues that lingered from a previous electrician. A 2025 customer said Chris ran a 240V line from the fuse box and installed an outlet for a kiln, and was honest and transparent about his rates. A 2025 customer wrote that Chris Meyer had been their electrician for the past ten years or longer. A 2024 customer said Chris Meyer gave an accurate and fair quote, then installed a Green Mountain Power-supplied EV charger with a 50 amp breaker and 6 gauge wire.
Chris Meyer is by far the best electrician I have ever dealt with. Very friendly, extremely responsive, great communication and high quality work. Also has creative ideas to make the project pop!
We were having water issues with the frost free hydrant in our barn. It has been a challenge to find someone who was knowledgeable with this type of hydrant. In the past we had been told we needed to dig up the water line, this was not the case. We are so thankful for the recommendation to contact Bud Meyers. Prompt, friendly, knowledgeable service. I would highly recommend, we will definitely reach out again for further needs.
Our summer cabin had no electricity, and luckily our neighbor gave us Chris's phone number. We had already tried to get it working to no avail, and Chris agreed to come take a look - on a 3-day holiday weekend no less! We got an unexpected call a few hours later letting us know everything except the dryer was working and Chris had diagnosed the external underground wiring needed to be fixed to get that remaining outlet working. Never had such quick and excellent service as this, and decided to use Meyer Electric when we upgrade. You won't find a more capable and pleasant electrician anywhere else! Hats off to this well-run company!
Chris was great! I called him first thing in the morning and he said his day was pretty busy, but he would try to get out to my place at 4:30. Well at 4:30, he showed up, diagnosed the problem (which incidentally he said he had never seen before), went to his house and picked up a part that was needed, returned to my place and at 6 o’clock he was finished. Needless to say, we were very happy! He did great work and I would highly recommend him to anyone. Thanks Chris!
Chris performed a "full service upgrade" on our home taking it from 100 to 200 amps which included a new panel, new exterior conduit and cabling, etc. He also installed an EV charger and ceiling fans for us. It amazes me the ground he covers and he does impeccable work. Despite his "help" calling out sick the night before the service upgrade (which requires scheduling and working with GMP - all of which he dealt with) he completed the whole job in one very long day on his own. He is skilled, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with.
