The company describes itself as owner-operated by Marc Gregoire, whom its site calls a master stone mason with over 40 years of experience, and says it has done "Expert Craftsmanship Since 1988." It also says it belongs to the Mason Contractors Association of America and works New Seabury, Sandwich and Osterville. Those are the company's own claims about itself. Customers tell a slightly different story about who turns up. The name that keeps recurring in their write-ups is Jason: in a January 2024 review a homeowner wrote "Jason thank you great job on the patio you redesigned," and in November 2023 another said "Jason does excellent work. I really like the porcelin pavers. It's worth little extra money." A May 2024 reviewer in Barnstable called it the best company they had ever dealt with. The praise is specific and it is consistent — but it also stops in mid-2024, so there is no fresh word from the last two years. Before booking, pin down who you would actually be contracting with, and how long that business has been operating. The Better Business Bureau lists MGM Stone Cape Cod at 104 Sampsons Mill Rd in Mashpee as a sole proprietorship that started on 5/8/2022 — four years in business — and names Adam Harmon as its manager. That is a different name from the one on the company's site, and a start date thirty-four years later than the site's "Since 1988." It is not BBB accredited and carries no BBB rating. Neither account can be reconciled from what is publicly available, and it is a fair thing to ask about directly. For a straightforward Cape patio in porcelain or natural stone, the people who have hired them keep landing on the same verdict, and they name the work they got. Get the name on the contract — and the entity standing behind it — settled before anything is signed.
