A two-person painting outfit that has worked out of Lowell since 2011 — and almost nothing about it has been written down. MHB Painting operates from 30 Livingston Ave under Marc Blanchette, whom the Better Business Bureau lists as owner. That BBB page carries no grade at all: the bureau says it does not have enough information to issue one, and it publishes no customer reviews, no complaint count and no government actions. One concrete fact does come from the state. The company held Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration number 154276, and the registry now shows it expired. Massachusetts exempts interior-painting-only contractors from that registration, so a lapse is not automatically a problem — but paired with an otherwise blank public trail it means the vetting falls to you. If you call, ask where the registration stands now, ask for a current certificate of insurance, and ask for two or three recent Lowell-area addresses you can drive past before you commit.
