A 2025 customer wrote that Matt Sullivan would take large deposits and never return to do the work, and that the company would not return phone calls or emails.
Shady shady shady work. Couldn’t even put in a simple heat pump correctly. Wouldn’t trust this guy tying his own shoe.
When estimating a heat pump & boiler install job the owner came across as very knowledgeable and honest. However, after paying the deposit, everything went wrong, including him not returning deposit money for work he never did. Trust me and the others who have left negative reviews on this guy and his company - STAY AWAY!
Same experience as those below. Owes me $10k in deposit for contracted work that never got done. Do not call. Do not give any $.
I contracted with these folks in September to do a whole house ducted heat pump system. The owner said he would start on October 9th - they performed maybe four hours of work done since then and the majority of the work performed has been shoddy and cost me additional time. His employees cut holes in the wrong spots in the floor, ran ductwork in bizarre places, etc. The owner, Matt Sullivan, is now dodging emails and calls and we are out of pocket $20,000. Avoid them like the plague.
BUYER BEWARE!! Don't be taken advantage of by Matt Sullivan or Midcoast Heating and cooling. Matt will talk a big game, take large deposits and never return to actually do the work. Company won't return phone calls or emails. If you are looking for a reputable company this is NOT one.
