They transformed our overgrown yard—full of woods and wild plantings—into a stunning, resort-like retreat complete with an inground pool, basketball hoop, fresh grass, thoughtful new plantings, and beautiful design touches throughout. Matt was incredible to work with—communicative, reliable, and flexible. He checked in regularly, stayed on schedule, and adapted the design as we saw how everything came together. We had a hard deadline for our daughter’s backyard wedding, and not only did Matt deliver on time, we even had extra time to spare. He went above and beyond, planning everything down to the bug spray and a perfectly timed mowing before the event. His team is top-notch—not only did they help build our dream, they now help us maintain it. Matt is simply the best. We have used Stacy Landscaping for years. They never disappoint. They do a fantastic job with regular weekly maintenance, as well as seasonal cleanups. They are also great at any small or major garden makeovers. They will turn your yard into a beautiful oasis! I highly recommend them!

Update based on this 2025 pool/hardscape and landscaping project (phase 3 of master plan): Matt helped take a very tired and barren pool area and turn it into a true summertime oasis with year round garden/landscaping interest. Starting with the plan that was revised multiple times due to budgets, new ideas etc. we agreed to execute phase 3 of our master plan. Matt's team came in for the excavation and site prep work in February and made quick work of it so the pool renovation work could be done well before late spring. After the pool work was completed the hardscaping began, lots of precise leveling, measuring and cutting was needed to get the decking and paths completed. The way they cut curves into the granite pavers was truly impressive. Then the landscaping took shape and Matt came up with some tweaks to the plantings based on some special material he found (weeping Japanese maple with a beautiful shape, pink kousa dogwood and a standard miniature blue spruce that anchored the overall design. I love how Matt can come up with an idea, send it over and edit the design on the fly based on what he sees. Matt worked with me and our electrician to come up with a beautiful lighting plan for the evening experience. Photos are added to this review Another extremely positive experience working with Matt and team, looking forward to phase 4! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Original review for 1st 2 phases of our master plan: I have been working with Matt and team from Mike Stacy Landscaping for the past year and have been extremely pleased with all aspects of the work so far. We started by planning out a major landscape renovation and design plan for our historic property that is just under 2 acres in total. Matt came over to view the property, talk through what my vision was and start to develop a plan based on that. He came back with a full size layout plant by plant of the various landscaping sections as well as new planting areas for both vegetable and flower gardens. Given the scope and size of the plan, we segmented the project into sections that could be implemented over a multi year timeframe. He and the team got to work on moving overgrown shrubs, clearing and leveling work, contracting out fence work for vegetable gardens all by the start of planting season as we had discussed. Loam was brought in, beds built up, irrigation system was installed and finally mulch added to finish the look. Phase 2 of the plan involved new plantings along the foundation and Matt was very flexible in allowing me to join the shopping excursion for the new plant material. I look forward to the remaining phases of this large project and could not be happier working with Matt and team. Feedback from the neighbors has all been very positive.
