Mini Split Services

Mini Split Services does one thing. Chris Gaucher's Dudley shop installs ductless mini split heat pumps for homes and businesses, then services, maintains and deep-cleans indoor and outdoor units on any brand — the company's own description of itself, and a narrower trade than a general heating-and-cooling company. BBB records the business as started and incorporated 1/17/2023, with Mr. Christopher Gaucher as owner, and grades the page A+. The written accounts are few and mostly a few years old, and they span two chapters of the same owner's work. Both January 2020 write-ups sit under his earlier trading name, Gaucher HVAC/r: one homeowner, after calling several places about new ductwork at a new house, wrote that Chris came out right away, walked them through the steps and was patient with all their questions; the other said they would give a 6 if they could, for being walked through the whole process. Two short 2023 reviews follow — one calls the work prompt and thorough, the other praises the customer service. BBB's page carries brief excerpts from three named customers, undated, about unit cleaning, communication and getting an appointment booked the same week it was requested. The name still circulates nearby: an April 2026 Nextdoor post in Worcester recommended the company and named owner Chris. Two things to square before booking. Angi and HomeAdvisor each publish 5.0 from four ratings, but that is one set of four reviews shown on two mirrored profiles, not eight customers. And Angi's profile offers free estimates while listing no warranties and no emergency service, so ask what coverage comes with an install and who you call if a unit quits on a holiday weekend. On licensing, BBB lists Massachusetts registration 208444 from the Office of Consumer Affairs & Business Regulations, and BuildZoom lists the same home improvement contractor number. For a mini split — a new install, a seasonal service, or a unit blowing musty air that needs a real deep clean — this is a specialist rather than a generalist, and the owner is the one who shows up. Ask for a recent local reference, since most of the written accounts date from 2020 to 2023, and get the scope and price in writing before work starts.
