In a September 2026 Google review, a customer wrote that Ryan assessed the roof and priced the materials and work, Jose and the rest of the crew arrived at 7:00AM, and by 4:00PM the roof was completed; asked how many workers were there, Jose said 8, himself included. MJJ Roofing & Siding works out of 858 Main Rd in Holden, Maine. The company says it has 30 years in business, offers free estimates and serves Bangor, Waterville, Ellsworth, Bar Harbor, Blue Hill, Brewer, Orono and Holden, and its site lists standing seam and corrugated metal, asphalt shingle, cedar and EPDM / TPO roofing. On Google it holds 5 stars from 112 ratings. An October 2026 Google reviewer who has worked in the construction industry for more than 50 years wrote that the estimator spent almost two hours on the project, climbed up on the roof to inspect and measure, and came inside to verify the manufacturer and model of the existing skylights so the replacements would fit the openings. A May 2026 Google review describes a roof repair at a spot another contractor said had rotted sheathing: Jose removed the damaged shingles, found no rot, and lowered the estimate. In another May 2026 review, the sub layer turned out to be unsound once the roof was stripped; Jose broke down the options "to the penny," and MJJ finished the project ahead of schedule. In September 2026 a Google reviewer wrote that the crew totally stripped the old roof, put plywood down and took 2 days to finish, and that the household planned to have them do the siding next month. Another September 2026 reviewer got a new roof and gutters within a couple weeks of the estimate, and a third wrote that Jonnathan's team installed a new metal roof on the reviewer's camp in Danforth after one company didn't respond and another came in $11k higher. A February 2025 Google review describes a small siding repair: Jonnathan came with a color-matching palette, the start waited 3 months on payment from the third party that had done the damage, and once cleared the repair was taken care of within a couple of hours.
What a great crew and one of the owners Jose. Their work ethic was fantastic. Very honest, kind and kept me informed with any updates or concerns. The completed job and cleanup were amazing. I highly recommend this business.
MJJ Roofing showed up on time. The crew was very efficient & even though there was a language barrier with some of the crew members they were all very friendly. There wasn't much wasted time. Everyone had a part to do & the crew worked well together. We had to leave early before they had finished and were still working on the roof but they sent pictures of the finished job.
From our first interaction with the estimator to the actual installation, we could not be more pleased and impressed with the integrity and quality of the company and their employees. Having worked in the construction industry for more than 50 years, I know a qualified contractor when I see one and MJJ is one! If you are looking for a great contractor for your roofing needs, we would recommend MJJ without hesitation. The estimator actually spent almost two hours reviewing the project. He actually climbed up on the roof to inspect and measure, came inside the house to verify the manufacturer and model of our existing skylights to ensure they chose a replacement that would fit the existing opening and was able to email us a quote before leaving. MJJ was not the least expensive nor the most expensive. You won’t go wrong for choosing them for your roofing needs. Other companies that looked at the project relied on satellite imagery to determine the quantity of shingles needed, they did not inspect and measure the skylights or chimney flashing. 5 stars plus!!
We had a pretty bad roof leak at our house, so I contacted three roofing companies for estimates. MJJ Roofing offered a great price that was more reasonable than the others. About two weeks after signing the contract, they came to our house and worked from morning until evening. They did a great job replacing our roof, installing new chimney flashing and two pipe boots, and repairing the soffit around the house. The crew worked efficiently and got everything done in a timely manner. Special thanks to Ryan for being patient and taking the time to answer all my questions throughout the process. Thanks also to Juan and the entire crew for the excellent work! We’re very happy with our new roof, and best of all, no more leaks! 😊👏🏼 We would highly recommend MJJ Roofing and Siding! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Wow! We love our new roof. We highly recommend MJJ Roofing & Siding. They are extremely professional and do incredible work. The crew was polite and worked so hard that we were in shock. It’s not often that a company exceeds your expectations but this one did. We are thrilled!
