In October 2026 a Google reviewer wrote that Chris inspected their roof shortly after they got in touch, fixed more than ten small holes for free to hold off leaks until the replacement, and that his crew then completed the whole roof in a day. Scesny Roofing is a Holden roofer; its website says it has been in business 30 years and lists Holden, Bangor, Brewer, Hampden, Ellsworth, Orono and Hermon as its service area. On Google it holds 5 stars from 242 ratings, and its BBB page is an A+ with accreditation. In a July 2025 review a homeowner who thought the roof needed immediate work wrote that Chris told them they had 2–5 years left on the shingles and needed nothing done. A September 2026 reviewer described lifted shingles at seam corners and the roof cap three years after a previous owner's new roof; Chris and his team re-nailed and glued them down under his warranty, free of charge. In an April 2026 review, a customer said Chris and his crew showed up on time in February to install a metal roof on their house. In July 2026 another reviewer had a metal roof installed and said they also repaired the top of the chimney and the fascia on the garage. A July 2026 customer had the roof replaced and the chimney repointed and capped, at a quote substantially less than other companies they priced. In April 2026 a reviewer who also had an old chimney taken down wrote that the new roof had custom trim made in the company's shop, and that Josh and Trevor did the installation. In a December 2023 review, a customer described a big job covering 8 buildings: his sub had a problem, and Chris took responsibility and sent his team back in to redo the roof. A 2022 reviewer wrote that the crew removed a chimney to below the roof line, installed 35 squares of shingles in less than 3 days, and that a gutter crew installed new gutters and downspouts two days later. A BBB reviewer complained of no-shows and poor communication.
