Highlights
- Stump grinding — a 2017 customer used the service for stumps and limbs
- A spotless yard — a 2019 customer said the place was spotless afterward
- Branches over-trimmed — a 2020 customer said about 20 unrelated branches were cut
The BBB lists Monomoy Tree Service, with a Chatham post office box, as in business since 1984. A 2017 customer said they had used the service for several years to remove dead and diseased trees, thin out natural forest, remove limbs and grind stumps, and called Dave Whitcomb and his crew good about cleanup. A 2019 customer said Dave Whitcomb and his crew worked all day at their house taking down several trees and unsafe dead limbs, and that the place was spotless when they left. A 2020 customer gave two stars after hiring the company to take down a large tree and trim a couple of branches growing into power lines. That customer said about 20 unrelated branches were cut on all sides of the tree and above the lines instead of the light trim near the lines, and that it ruined the aesthetic and privacy of the area.
