In a March 2017 review, a homeowner wrote that three other companies couldn't work out what was wrong with their stove; Mr. Appliance found it and repaired it under warranty at no cost. That account is nine years old, and it is a fair sample of this franchise's written history — specific, largely positive, and entirely from 2015 to 2018. Mr. Appliance of Plymouth runs out of 43 Cochituate Rd on major-appliance work: dryers, ovens, dishwashers, refrigerators and ice makers, with installation and replacement offered too, and its HomeAdvisor listing covers Bosch, GE, LG, Samsung, Whirlpool and other major brands. BBB opened its file on the Plymouth business in March 2024, lists Chris Blanchette as the owner and one employee, and grades it A on length of time operating, without accrediting it. That gap matters when you read the ratings. The HomeAdvisor profile carrying 4.9 stars from 56 ratings sits under the earlier trading name, Mr. Appliance of Southeast Massachusetts, at the same Plymouth address — and every review on it is dated between October 2015 and March 2018. Its about-us copy also lists a different phone number than the business publishes now. Strong older numbers, in other words, that may not describe the operation you'd get today. What those customers wrote is still worth knowing. Technicians got named — George, Joe — for turning up on time and diagnosing fast: a heating element replaced the same day in March 2018, a jammed oven door opened with the right tool in November 2017, a dishwasher repaired in April 2017 with a walk-through of how to avoid a repeat. Parts were the recurring friction: one March 2018 customer waited a week for an ordered part, another in July 2017 waited two. The complaints are dated but pointed. In November 2016 a customer wrote that three repair attempts left the same problem coming back. That September, another had a first technician arrive unprepared, with a second finishing the job a couple of days later. And a November 2017 reviewer found the person answering the phone curt, while praising the technician who came out. Across those 56 HomeAdvisor ratings the split is 93% five-star and 2% one-star. The name also came up in a Plymouth Nextdoor post in March 2026. For a straightforward dryer, oven or dishwasher repair in Plymouth, this is a franchise with a real but aging track record. Ask who owns and staffs it now, confirm the diagnostic charge before the visit the way a 2016 caller described being told, and pin down the parts lead time before you book.
“Mister Appliance”
He quickly determined it was the heating element. He got the part and fixed it the same day. He was very professional and did a great job.
Upon first visit, the technician realized he didn't have the part to fix the dryer. He ordered it and was back within a week. The work was done very quickly, and the technician was very courteous. The dryer was back up and running like new
Although the receptionist for Mr. Appliance of Southeast Ma was somewhat curt when I called, "George" the service professional was very courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient, He used a tool to quickly unlock the oven door. He explained that due to the age of the appliance, a replacement part was not readily available, but he would notify me if he found one. I cannot use the oven cleaning feature, but can still use all the other features of my oven. The cost was reasonable.
Very well, although they had to order the part and it took 2 weeks to complete
George was prompt, easily identified the problem with my dishwasher, repaired it AND educated me on how to take care of it if it happens again.
