- Business identity unresolved — confirm exact name, address and phone before booking
- Complaint history elsewhere — a same-named Avon chain faces BBB complaints and a lawsuit
National Floors is a name shared by at least two separate flooring businesses in Massachusetts, and it isn't clear which one this listing represents. One is a small, Beverly-based hardwood flooring shop run by Robert LaPorte. On Thumbtack, his work draws a background-checked 4.9-star rating from 27 reviews going back to 2019, with customers praising his attention to detail on refinishing and installation jobs. The other is National Floors Direct, a much larger flooring chain based in Avon with thousands of reviews on Houzz and Trustpilot — but also a documented pattern of consumer complaints, a 2024 lawsuit filed by New York City over deceptive business practices, and multiple reports of deposit disputes and flooring delivered that didn't match what was ordered. Those are two different companies with two very different track records, and this listing can't currently confirm which one a homeowner searching for "National Floors" would actually be hiring. No overall rating is shown here as a result. Before booking, confirm the exact business name, street address, and phone number on any quote or contract, and check those against the company you're actually speaking with — the smaller Beverly shop and the larger Avon chain are not interchangeable.

Robert did an amazing job on our floors. We really appreciated his attention to detail and his advising us on what to do with our floors (sadly not in good enough condition to restore). You can tell he's passionate about wood flooring and producing quality work. We will definitely work with Robert on future projects!

Robert was exceptional in his floor work. I have a 2nd floor apartment that needed to be done right away since the last tenants nearly destroyed the place. Robert came out the next day after we spoken and worked all day to get this apartment ready by Monday. I would highly recommend Rob for any flooring needed since he is knowledgeable, very friendly and easy to work with.

Could not find flooring help after days of searching. I connected with Robert and we discussed needs via text. He came out that afternoon and finished floor in one day..did beautiful job. Would not hesitate to recommend.

We had recently remodeled our kitchen and discovered there wasn't hardwood under our old cabinets. Rob did an amazing job patching up the areas exposed with the new layout! We plan on using him again when we replace our old carpet with hardwood floors.

Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from National Floors. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
