Sanding a floor is a dusty, disruptive job, and what customers of Sens Flooring keep describing is how little of that they had to live with. A July 2026 customer watched the crew sheet the house in plastic before the sanding started and fix a few broken boards along the way. An April 2026 customer, having their living and dining rooms refinished, said the process threw off next to no dust. An April 2025 customer refinishing a condo kitchen floor chose to pay a bit more for a floor-to-ceiling screen between the kitchen and the rest of the first floor. The company is based in Billerica and describes itself as a family business: hardwood, laminate, vinyl and carpet installation, refinishing and repair, and self-levelling concrete subfloors. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active. Customers deal with Taras, whom a July 2026 review names as the owner, and with Vlad and Nick on the crew. The work described is fussy in the way flooring work should be. In April 2026 a customer had a newly laid red oak wide-board floor with walnut plugs sanded and given three coats of finish, the raised plugs cut down first. A March 2026 review describes old pine, yellowed and scratched, sanded and sealed with three coats of water-based sealer. In April 2025 a customer swapping carpet for hardwood in four bedrooms said extra screws went into the subfloor to kill the squeaks before anything was laid. A July 2026 first-floor refinish took in a parquet sun room, water damage in the kitchen and a seam between two rooms — and in another July 2026 job, the transitions were made smooth enough for a father's walker to roll through the house. Scheduling turns up in the accounts too. A June 2026 customer working against a move-in date said Taras came the next morning to look at the job; a March 2026 review says the installers finished in less time than quoted. When a tool failed mid-job in September 2025, that customer wrote that Taras raised it straight away and worked out how to solve it. On price, a December 2024 customer wrote that quotes from other flooring installers in the area came in much higher. For a refinish in a house you are still living in, or a carpet-to-hardwood swap where the subfloor decides how the room feels, this is the crew a January 2026 repeat customer calls his go-to flooring contractor. Settle the scope, the number of finish coats and how the space will be screened off before the sanding starts.
Hired Sens Flooring to install an oak hardwood floor. Taras was easy and professional to work with. The craftsmanship upon completion was exceptional. Would definitely work with them again.
Had a stain on our floor and Taras from Sens Flooring was able to come, diagnose and fix the floor! Responsive, polite and very professional. Would highly recommend Sens flooring!
We had Sens Flooring refinish the hardwood floors of the entire first floor of our house. This included a parquet floor in our sun room, repairing water damage in our kitchen, and fixing a seam between two rooms. Everything came out great! The owner, Taras, was easy to work with and responsive when we had questions. We chose Sens mostly because we thought he proposed the best ways to fix our two problem areas, but also because the price was very reasonable. We recommend Sens Flooring 100%.
They did a great job. Even made the transitions smooth so my fathers walker could roll easily throughout the house!
Very happy with the floor refinishing project Sens flooring did for us. Great communication from Taras and his crew. They arrived on time and did a great job prepping the house with plastic sheeting to minimize dust. Fixed some broken floor boards for us also. Very knowledgeable and walked us through process regarding different finishes. I would use them again
