A kitchen cabinet a quarter inch too small for a refrigerator arriving on a deadline: in June 2026, a Fairfield-area customer called Nathan at NBC Carpentry, who fit them into his schedule, and the crew trimmed the cabinet using a laser to measure. That kind of fix-it carpentry fills NBC's reviews, which stand at 4.9 stars from 62 Google ratings, with 5.0 on Angi, HomeAdvisor and Thumbtack. The company's website cites 15 years in business and a service area of Fairfield, Bridgeport, Westport, Norwalk and Trumbull. The recent jobs are varied. An August 2026 customer had Nathan look at what appeared to be water damage around a door frame; he explained the problem, said plainly what actually needed doing rather than presenting it as something bigger, and the crew returned to finish at what the customer called a very fair price. A July 2026 customer said NBC removed a built-in microwave on the first visit after two years of others failing, and another July 2026 reviewer said Natanael's team built new garage stairs in the few days the family was away. An August 2026 customer praised new bookcases. The older reviews add larger work. In a November 2024 review, a homeowner described the team redoing an entire basement after a drain pipe leak: drywall, mud, priming, painting, crown and shoe molding, and vinyl flooring. A 2024 customer with a 1918 house had a rotting back-porch banister rebuilt as a replica. Other customers between 2024 and 2025 describe decks and deck steps, porch railings, barn doors, exterior doors, basement handrails, rotted window and siding repairs, and painting. Several reviews mention the price as fair or reasonable, and several describe a job finished in one day with the debris cleaned up. The one complaint is a 1-star Google review from January 2026: a caller said that when he phoned about safer stairs, the company said he would be charged for an estimate and mentioned a $150 charge for the call; he hung up and said he would report the company to the BBB. Connecticut lists home improvement registration HIC.0672503, held by NBC Carpentry LLC, as active.
Nathan and his crew were so wonderful, conscientious and meticulous. Their work was amazing and I could not be more thrilled with the results. My Bookcases are absolutely beautiful!!!
We had what appeared to be water damage around one of our door frames and called Nathan at NBC Carpentry. He came out right away, assessed the situation, clearly explained what was happening, and immediately put our minds at ease about the severity of the problem. What impressed me most was Nathan’s honesty and transparency. The issue could have easily been presented as something much bigger and more expensive, but Nathan was straightforward about what actually needed to be done and created a practical solution. He and his crew returned shortly after and took care of everything quickly and professionally. Nathan’s communication, professionalism, craftsmanship, and integrity really stood out. He charged us a very fair price, and I appreciate having someone with his level of skill who I can also trust to give me an honest assessment. We already have some larger projects planned for next year, and there’s a lot of comfort in knowing exactly who we’ll be calling. I’m confident Nathan and NBC Carpentry will do an excellent job. Truly appreciate Nathan, his crew, and the time and care they put into helping us. Highly recommend NBC Carpentry. Dan B.
So thankful to have found NBC Carpentry! We’ve spent the past 2 years looking for electricians + carpenters who could fix (or remove) a very specific built in microwave in our kitchen. No one was able to fix it or remove it, but NBC did on their first visit! They were very kind and fast… Thank you!
Natanael and his team did an amazing job on our new set of stairs in our garage. He accommodated our ask to complete the project in the few days we were away from our house and he delivered the project on time and in full. A+++ and highly recommended.
We were in a bind— a new refrigerator was going to be delivered, and the cabinet was just a 1/4 inch too small. We called Nathan and he made room for us in his schedule in order to meet our delivery deadline. He and his crew were meticulous and polite and exceptionally careful about trimming the cabinet by 1/4 inch, using a laser to measure perfectly. We would highly recommend them and happy to give you a reference.
