ND Landscape Services is a Georgetown outfit that says it's been in business since 1981, founded in Topsfield by owner Nick DiBenedetto — a shop that runs both weekly maintenance crews and full backyard design-build projects, plus commercial snow contracts for office parks and HOAs. The company lists a long roster of trade credentials on its site — a Massachusetts Certified Arborist, a Massachusetts home improvement contractor and general contractor license, pesticide and hoisting-engineer licenses in both MA and NH — though none of those numbers have been checked against a state registry here. The relationships on the maintenance side run deep. A 2023 review describes 15 years of service at one Ipswich residence, and another describes being a customer since the early nineties, with hardscape work still holding up decades later. Commercial clients describe similar tenure — a Georgetown HOA and a Beverly industrial park both credit the crew with keeping roads and lots clear through this past winter's long storms, one calling the snow team 'top notch'. On smaller jobs, recent reviews describe a driveway and granite-step rebuild finished exactly to spec and a patio expansion handled with good communication and scheduling. The record isn't uniform, though. Two 1-star reviews from this past winter tell a different snow-removal story: an Ipswich facility manager says a lot went uncleared and unsafe during a long storm, and a reviewer managing a relative's condo describes a side street that got skipped entirely while workers idled out of their supervisor's view — the same season that produced the praise above, so reliability there may vary by property or route. And on ND's larger design-build projects, two accounts years apart describe the same shape of problem: a 2025 review says a $2,000 paid patio design ignored the client's stated wishes and came back a month late with an incorrect yard measurement, while a 2022 review says a patio-and-plunge-pool project was subbed out entirely to outside trades, with the homeowner needing to chase the ND contact directly for updates and a schedule commitment. For routine landscaping and grounds maintenance, especially on a standing contract, this is a business with decades of track record behind it. For a large custom design-build project, the reviews suggest asking directly who performs the actual trade work — in-house or subcontracted — and getting a firm schedule commitment in writing before signing off.
Good management
N&D Landscaping installed a new driveway with Bill D as the project manager. They produced a driveway, front walk and granite step timely and exactly as we wanted. We are thoroughly satisfied.
Love my new cobblestone apron. The process was very easy and there was good communication. I get compliments all the time. Will look to have ND do more work in the fall for my new home.
The job was very nicely done. Jane was excellent to work with and she and her helper did an excellent job. Jarred did a great job getting everything scheduled and set up.
