Needham Certified Welding is a Needham, Massachusetts iron shop — a second-generation, woman-owned family business the company says has served commercial and residential clients in Massachusetts for over 40 years. Its work covers custom fences and railings, ADA and pipe railings, metal pan stairs, ornamental and structural ironwork, and smaller welding jobs including automotive floorboard and frame repair and portable on-site welding. It holds an active Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, verified against the state registry, and a Massachusetts Women Business Enterprise certification, verified active through 2029. There's very little public review history to draw on — the one account available, a 2023 Google review, described the company as busy with a full client calendar but still communicative throughout a wait, with a polite and courteous office staff. Given how thin the review record is despite the company's stated decades of operation, anyone hiring for custom ironwork or railings would do well to ask for photos of recent completed jobs and references, since the public feedback trail here is too small to draw much from on its own.
Very content to submit a positive review for Needham Certified Welding. The company has many clients, and their calendar is full, but they accepted our project, and continued to communicate with us as we waited. Their office admin was polite, courteous, and made us feel we were an important client, even though the project was small. This year was an unusually wet summer, and that delayed many of their projects. This caused our start date to also slip. But they stayed engaged, courteous, and committed to finish the project instead of just canceling. Their quality of work was outstanding. The railing on the stairs was quickly mounted and installed. The contractors used proper mounting materials, and with a proper mounting design so that we do not have to address a rusted wrought iron railing again for many, many years. There was alot of activity going on while they were installing, and they were courteous, careful, and left the site neat and orderly. We highly recommend Needham Certified Welding for any wrought iron work.
