When another contractor ruined a set of marble countertops, the homeowner called Roberto — and in September 2025 wrote that New England Stone Pro made them look new again. That is a fair description of most of this work: stone somebody else damaged, or that everyone else said could not be saved. The same story turns up with different stone. In February 2023 a customer had an undermount kitchen sink that had been badly installed and worked loose; several other stone companies had said there was nothing they could do, and Roberto reinforced it. In August 2024 a homeowner ringing around about a kitchen floor with a few broken tiles was told by most companies to replace the lot; he talked them out of it and ended up doing several other floors besides. In April 2025 a customer with a 17-year-old granite slab split at the seam said he examined it, laid out the options, and made the join disappear. The other half of the trade is cutting and finishing stone that is already in place. Customers describe a one-inch hole bored through granite, a countertop opening enlarged for a new range, a cutout widened for a cooktop and, for a workplace in May 2025, a chute hole cut so two coffee machines could make 300 cups instead of 30. Etching, chips, water stains and silicone bleed on marble and quartzite come up constantly, alongside grout cleaning, retiling and calcified showers. In February 2026 a customer who had planned to replace brown, dated bathroom grout rang on a whim to ask about cleaning the stone and grout instead. Speed and price are the other two things customers keep raising. One called on a Saturday about an undermount sink that had dropped out of the counter and had someone there on the Sunday. Another, in September 2023, called a single day before the job had to happen and it happened. Several say his price came in under the larger companies, and an August 2025 customer said the charge was exactly what they had expected. When a chip repair in November 2023 needed follow-up grinding, the team came back the next day and finished it. There is a lot of this on file: 63 Google ratings averaging five stars, 53 written accounts going back to 2020, and 5.0 from seven ratings on each of Angi and HomeAdvisor. This is the call for stone you already own — a cracked or etched countertop, a stain the wrong cleaner left behind, a seam that has opened, a hole that has to go through a slab already fitted, a stone floor or shower gone dull. For a brand-new kitchen slab you would still be shopping fabricators; for everything after that, ask for the estimate and how long your kitchen or bathroom will be out of use.
