Highlights
- Design-press credit — a 2021 Boston Magazine feature named its bath vanities
- Stated experience — over 30 years in cabinetry and millwork, per its site
- Finish durability — a 2026 customer said paint cracked on every cabinet
- Warranty — that customer said the cabinetry carries none
- Thin customer history — one written review and two Google ratings
Newbury Cabinetry builds cabinets rather than remodels rooms. Its own description covers kitchen and bathroom cabinets, built-ins, doors and mouldings for residential and commercial clients, out of a shop on the Newburyport Turnpike, and the site claims more than 30 years of custom cabinetry and millwork behind it. The work has reached the design press once: a February 2021 Boston Magazine feature credited the two vanities in a home's primary bath, painted in Benjamin Moore's "North Sea," to the shop. The one written customer account runs the other way, and it is recent. In February 2026 a homeowner with a High Street property said that within two months of installation the paint on every kitchen cabinet had cracked, that the cabinetry carries no warranty, and that an employee had come out to look at it. That is a finish failure on the exact product the shop sells, and it is the only first-hand account from a customer anywhere. Two Google ratings give nothing to judge from, so what exists is one detailed complaint and one magazine credit, five years apart. If you are weighing them, the questions write themselves: what warranty, if any, covers the painted finish; how a cracked finish gets remedied and who pays for it; and whether you can see cabinets they finished three or four years ago rather than fresh samples in a showroom.

would pass on using this company. Within 2 months of my kitchen cabinets being installed on our High st property, paint on every single cabinet is cracking. It looks awful. There is no warranty with their cabinetry. Having had an employee come out today to see the horrendous looking paint cracking on all my cabinets including my brand new refrigerator and cabinet installed over the refrigerator, their response was we don't fix this. You will need to hire a painter to come out and sand and paint over where it is cracking. Spending over $40,000 in kitchen cabinetry and seeing cracking everywhere, I highly recommend chosing another company. I am not alone. A good friend confirmed they used this company recently as well, and have experienced exactly the same. Clearly someone doesn't know what they're doing!!
