NextGen Realty runs a large Allston-based team that handles both apartment rentals and home sales across Greater Boston — Reddit posts record the brokerage closing multifamily deals worth $2.435M and $1.26M, alongside dozens of individually-named agents fielding rental searches. Its Massachusetts real estate broker license is active, and it's been a BBB-accredited business, with an A+ grade, since 2005. Recent reviews describe the rental side working fast under pressure: in July 2026, an agent 'saved the day' for a client whose son was running out of time before starting a new job, securing an approved application within 24 hours after other agents had gone unresponsive. In a March 2026 review, a client praised Marta Moraru for quickly finding a two-bedroom apartment. Further back, the same pattern repeats across dozens of named agents and years — clients searching from Texas, Florida, and Orlando for children starting school or new jobs, tight timelines around lease deadlines, and at least two documented multifamily sales. The record isn't uniformly clean. A February 2026 review described an agent — named 'Matha' in the review, though a differently-spelled 'Marta' drew praise from two other reviewers within the same weeks — repeatedly questioning the reviewer's credit score after it had already been confirmed, cancelling a scheduled tour on short notice, and refusing to show the apartment until financial information was provided; the reviewer said the experience felt discriminatory. In an October 2025 review, a Worcester-area client warned other prospective renters that staff were, in the reviewer's words, uninformed about the units they represented and misrepresented the situation until after an application had been submitted. A December 2025 Reddit post separately asked about being asked to pay a deposit alongside a rental application, without describing how it resolved. With over 100 reviews spanning 2021 to today across six sources feeding a 4.7-star Google average from 455 ratings, the volume here is real, and the negative accounts are a small minority. Still, given the size of the team, it's worth confirming which specific agent will be handling a search or sale, and getting any credit-check or deposit requirements in writing before a tour.

“I used NextGen Realty to find my place, and the lady was great.”
I had an excellent experience with NextGen Realty. My son and I worked with Alexander Osornio and we couldn't be more pleased. In fact, Alexander saved the day. My son was running out of time looking for a rental before starting work. We had limited luck with other agents - whether it was lack of responses, or agents that simply didn't understand (or care) what my son needed. Alexander seemingly dropped everything to help us, and he detailed varying options/property types with my son. He thought "outside the box" unlike any other agent. Within 24 hours, we had our application completed, approved, and a lease signed. I give Alexander and NextGen my highest recommendation.
I had a great experience overall and can’t recommend them enough. My agent was Azal and she was amazing and really helped me through the process. Definitely would recommend.
We've used NextGen Reality everytime we've had open occupancy at our building and cannot say enough great things about them as a whole. Ian Armstrong is fantastic -- he's always easy to reach, has always provided great applicants and helpful throughout the whole process with handling all the details + heavy lifting. My father also used him prior too, and also enjoyed working with him.
Marta is the best!!!
I’m extremely satisfied with the service provided by NextGen Reality during my apartment search. I had the pleasure of working with Marta Moraru to find a two-bedroom apartment, and she was incredibly helpful, professional, and impressively quick in her responses and actions. Honestly, even a five-star rating doesn’t fully reflect her dedication and hard work. I highly recommend NextGen Reality for anyone looking for an apartment in the Boston area and nearby locations—they have a large and diverse inventory to choose from.
