Nickerson & O'Day describes itself on the Better Business Bureau as offering general commercial contracting services. Its own website talks about a ceremony marking a milestone on the Kenduskeag Public Library project, and a local paper has named Karl Ward as the company's president and chief executive officer. A 2024 Google reviewer recommended the company for new construction or renovation of commercial property. A 2022 reviewer who said they did two jobs for the company wrote that the owner fabricated back charges to avoid paying. In 2024, a driver wrote that one of its employees did not yield while merging on I-95 through Bangor.
“I'd move somewhere else and come here for vacation. Unless you can go to work for PC builders or nickerson O'Day.”
“Nickerson & O’Day began construction in June. The structure will be 1600 square feet and is 24 feet high. Construction is due to be completed by the end of the year.”
“Karl Ward (at podium), Nickerson & O’Day president and chief executive officer, spoke about the construction of the new Orland Fire Department at a site off Gray Meadow Road on Dec. 21.”
“there’s not going to be, you know, an issue backing the truck out of the bay or something like that, you know, it’s going to be good to go,” said Wade Poulton, Nickerson & O’Day V.P.”

Great company to work with
Great bunch of people that work here and they can handle anything you may have for a project in the commercial industry! I highly recommend them if you are in the market for new construction or renovation of any commercial property
I was driving up I-95 through Bangor one of their employees didn’t yield merging on highway. Also this employee was on my tail. This employee was driving erratically and very unprofessional. This was a red Chevy Silverado.
I was driving on route one from Rockport to camden. One of the employees was tailgating me the whole way! Absolutely disgusted by how dangerous and unprofessional they were.
Just looking to get paid for two jobs we did a couple years ago. When we brought up payment the owner (Karl Ward, the five star reviewer listed below), fabricated back charges to avoid paying.
