Nite Oil describes itself on its website as a family-owned home heating oil company that also installs and repairs home heating systems, and says it has been in business for 30 years. The service towns it lists include Portsmouth, Bristol, Warren, Fall River, Westport and Swansea. A 2024 customer in Tiverton said the company handled automatic delivery of heating oil and their annual service, replaced their tank with a new concrete pad, and responded promptly to two emergency repairs. A 2025 customer said they had used Nite Oil for heating oil deliveries and boiler maintenance for many years, and that the company installed a new boiler and indirect hot water tank. A 2023 customer said the company cleaned and serviced their elderly mother's heating system. A 2025 customer said a technician could not rewire their system, bypassed the safety on the boiler and never fixed the original problem, leaving them without heat and hot water for 3 days. A 2022 customer said a delivery of a hundred gallons was gone in a week and the company refilled the tank without checking for a leak. A 2021 customer said automatic delivery they had set up never happened and the person on the phone was rude. A 2022 customer said that after they complained about a technician and cancelled the contract, the woman who answered said the company did not need their business.

If I could give no star here I would. Completely incompetent, uneducated and disgruntle tech support. Couldn’t put parts in or position them correctly, couldn’t rewire my system, by passed the safety on my boiler, lied about parts needed and never serviced the problem I originally called them to come fix. After 14 years of oil delivery, you’d think a business would give more respect to their clients, as we called them the next morning regarding the above. Nope! We got a miserable, another uneducated, disrespectful, unprofessional and highly incompetent male who answered the phone oozing extreme rudeness and never owning to any of the errors. Or not even “Can we take another look and see how we can make this right?” Nothing!! We had to pay a 2nd tech elsewhere to come out as they left us without heat and hot water for 3 days with no care. Do not use this company! There’s too many other businesses out there who will honor and value your money, have genuine respect for others and get the job done right then to choose this one. We live in the land of options. Opt out of this poor excuse for a business.
Overly priced, will never use them again. Affordable fuel in Seekonk, Ma if you’re looking for both affordable and friendly!
