North Country Custom Builders says it serves Winthrop and its surrounding areas, and describes itself as a general contractor for more than 20 years. A customer who hired Mark Feith (North Country Custom Builders) in 2023 to take over a camp renovation an earlier contractor never finished said Mark's work included the roof, the fireplace, reflooring the entire camp, building a deck, trim work and rerunning heat pump lines. That customer said that when the septic backed up, he came out with the plumber and found rocks in the reservoir from the previous contractor. A 2026 customer said work in the kitchen made room for a new and larger fridge, was done in a timely fashion and left the work area cleaned up. A 2020 Angi reviewer said they had used the business on a number of occasions and called him a skilled carpenter.
We bought our camp in 2016, hired a contractor recommended by our local town, but he kept giving us excuses and couldn't finish renovating our camp after 7 years!!! We ended up losing over 30k on a roof that was never done but knew we needed to move on. We hired Mark Feith (North Country Custom Builders) in 2023 and he was amazing. We found our previous contractor hadn't flashed the roof correctly and pulled paneling off and found mold and insects behind it. Mark had quite a bit of work to do like the roof, fireplace, refloor the entire camp and build a deck as well as trim work and rerunning heat pump lines where the previous contractor drilled through. When our septic backed up, he came out with the plumber and found rocks in the reservoir, from our previous contractor, that kept burning up the pump. We just got back from our camp this week and all is good!!! I highly recommend Mark Feith, he's worth every penny
We were extremely pleased with the work done in our kitchen to enable us to purchase a new and larger fridge . The work was done in a very timely fashion to our satisfaction leaving the work area cleaned up. The young man who Mark had do the job was very polite and went about his work efficiently! The workmanship was topnotch !! .We would not hesitate to hire North Country to do work for us in the future. Carlo and Jackie Kempton
Excellent group of workers. Owner really takes time to listen to customers wants and needs. If I could give 5 Plus stars I would.
I would hire them again! I have used them on a number of occasions and he is a very skilled carpenter!
