When a customer hired North Eastern Tree Service for tall tree trimming, the trucks damaged part of the lawn. Within one day, without being asked, Ed from the company called to say a crew would fix it, and two days later the crew arrived and fixed the lawn. That customer praised the communication, the estimate and the workmanship. The company says it has been in business 55 years, and its website lists tree removal, tree pruning, stump grinding, crane services and emergency tree services. Its stated service area includes Cranston, Providence, Warwick, Cumberland and Woonsocket. Its BBB grade is A+. A recent customer said they arrived on time, did everything that was asked of them and more, and cleaned up the yard when finished. A customer who said they have used the company for over 15 years reported never having an issue. A customer who has used them for business and personal property said to ask for Scott and called them very responsive and prompt. A 2024 Reddit commenter in r/RhodeIsland recommended the company to a Rhode Island resident. Scheduling is where one recent customer ran into trouble. That customer signed a quote and had an appointment about four weeks later, but no one showed that day. A man named Charlie said there was an emergency and that he would call back, and the customer said he never called to reschedule. A local news site, ecori.org, has described neighbors' concern about a pile of the company's logs being mulched.

I can’t say enough good things about my experience with North East Tree Service. They arrived on time , did everything that was asked of them and more. So professional !! The attention to detail is unmatched . When all was finished they cleaned up the yard beautifully. Absolutely wonderful!!! I will definitely have them back & recommend this company to anyone in need of a professional, well run tree service. Thank you so much!!

I ONLY use Northeastern Tree. They are the best around. Impeccable work. I don't understand any of the under 5 star reviews I have been using this company for over 15 years. NEVER had an issue. Kevin Manni
Wish I could give a positive review but we never got our service. We signed our quote, had an appointment, about 4 weeks after signing quote. Day of they never showed. We had to call the office number which the woman was no help at all. She said if we were on the schedule they would be there. We waited a couple more hours called back again and they connected us to this guy Charlie who apparently does his own scheduling. He said they had an emergency so they weren’t gonna make it and he would call us back when he gets to the office. He never called to reschedule. I called back again Got connected to the same guy. He acted like he had no idea why we were calling and again said he would call us back when he got back to the office never called. This is the worst customer service I’ve had in a long time. Just be careful if you schedule an appointment there’s no guarantee that they will show up or reschedule for you.
Search no more. This is the service you want to use. I hired them to do some ttall tree trimming . The communication, estimate, and workmanship done was superb. During the work, some damage to my lawn occurred from the trucks and within one day and without me inquiring, I got a call from Ed at the company to notify me that they are aware of what happened and will be sending a crew to fix it. Two days later, the crew arrived and did an amazing job fixing the lawn. Highly recommend.
