One trade, one product. Northeast Organic Tick Control sprays residential yards for ticks out of Ayers Village in Haverhill, and the company says it has done nothing else since 2012, when rising Lyme disease cases in northeastern Massachusetts prompted it to start. The treatment is the pitch: cedar wood oil and peppermint oil, which the company says it chose because they work on ticks while leaving bees, butterflies and worms alone and are safe around kids and pets soon after application. It describes itself as a local company with family values, and it belongs to the Haverhill Chamber of Commerce. There's no independent review history to draw on here — no Google, Yelp or directory ratings turned up — so nothing outside the company's own account establishes how the work goes. The site says the business is fully licensed and insured but gives no number, and nothing has been checked against a state registry. If you want an organic-only tick program from a small Merrimack Valley operator, this is a reasonable call — just ask for the pesticide applicator license number, what the season's spray schedule covers, and a couple of local references before you book.
