Northeast Solar works out of Hatfield and sells energy systems rather than just panels: solar design and installation for homes, businesses and farms, backup battery and generator systems, mini-split heat pumps and EV charger installation. Its BBB profile puts it at 18 years in business since 2008, and its Procore listing at 136 Elm St shows 10 to 50 employees. Some of what it takes on is big. Two projects tracked on the Procore Construction Network average about $10 million each, from a company that will also wire a single house for an EV charger. Back in 2017, a local news article described Northeast Solar building and installing solar power systems, the first of them going up on the rooftop of Community Involved in Sustaining Agriculture in South Deerfield. The BBB page is accredited with an A+ grade and lists three Massachusetts licence numbers for the company: 21918 from the Division of Professional Licensure, 169641 from the Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulations, and CS-106113 from the Department of Public Safety and Inspections. Look those numbers up in the state registers yourself before you sign anything. This is a sensible call if you want one contractor to handle a roof array, a battery and a heat pump as one project instead of three. Ask who would actually be on a house-sized job while the large installations are running, and get the production estimate and the warranty terms in writing.
