For two months, one recent customer hauled kitchen water outside because of a leaky drainpipe, and then the hot water tank leaked and died. Kara at Northstar Plumbing & Heating called back the same day with a pipe repair date, the pipe was fixed and a new water heater installed in 2-3 days, and the customer said they were billed the amount quoted. Northstar is a plumbing and heating company whose own site names Damariscotta as its service area. A customer who first used it to replace a hybrid hot water heater later had it upgrade the propane connections from the tank to the generator and boiler; in the process they discovered a pinhole propane leak that required digging up and replacing a line. A customer with a 175-year-old house said it got the furnace service and a toilet installation done, with competitive pricing. When one customer called, the dispatcher offered to try to squeeze them in the same day and got plumbers out at the end of that day. A customer wrote that the company answers and returns phone calls, "something almost unheard of on the peninsula," and that the job came in under their estimate. A 2026 customer said Northstar replaced an aging furnace and tankless water heater. A 2026 customer wrote that it installed a new Well-Mate tank and tackled several broken pipes, getting everything back up and running in two days. A 2026 customer said Jason gave good suggestions while they planned roughing out a bathroom. A Maine HVAC licence, number JY30023708, is active on the state registry in the name of Travis Lee Creamer. On Google the company holds 5 stars from 31 ratings.

Does great work, will work with again!
From the customer service to the guys getting the actual work done, the entire staff is amazing. I appreciated their responsiveness and their problem solving. I will certainly be using them again.
I had been trying to get someone to fix a leaky drainpipe from under my kitchen. For two months, I was hauling kitchen water outside or to the bathroom drains. I received no reply from several other plumbers, or I was ‘strung along,’ or the referral was not in business, or in one case not licensed. Then the hot water tank leaked and died. Kara called me back the same day I called Northstar with a pipe repair date. Later when I sent photos of the pipe and the leaky heater she called back with a likely diagnosis and price quote for repair. They had the pipe fixed and a new water heater installed in just 2-3 days, moving me up when another customer rescheduled. Jason, Travis and Brady were hard-working, courteous and thorough. I have a working sink and dishwasher drain and hot water! I was billed the amount quoted. If this experience is their standard, I can wholeheartedly be recommend Northstar Plumbing and Heating!
