Nu-Face Home Improvements

Scott keeps getting thanked. Nu-Face Home Improvements, a Berlin company with 4.9 stars across 617 Google ratings, sells and installs windows, siding, doors, roofs and bath and shower conversions, and its fall 2026 reviews are full of follow-up visits from service manager Scott Balch: a storm door fixed for a disabled customer, a soffit repaired, a slider latch, a cracked window replaced in ten minutes, siding another company had dented. One September 2026 customer whose dogs ruined a patio door screen got it re-screened three days later at no cost. The company says it has been in business for 30 years. The bathroom work is quick. An October 2026 customer from Hamden described a four-day bathroom install by Alfredo, who kept the house clean through heavy demolition. A September 2026 review said a shower was finished in one day, and another homeowner, working through a 1970s house, wrote that the Nu-Face shower and bathroom was the only improvement that had not needed repair. In 2025 reviews on Angi, a Middletown customer described a two-day walk-in shower install that replaced the old tub and tiles with framing, insulation, mold-resistant drywall and new plumbing fixtures, and a March 2025 tub-to-shower conversion took two long days, with Scott back afterward to redo some caulking. Exterior jobs get the same notes about crews and clean-up. Recent reviews describe every window in a house installed in one day, vinyl siding with porch windows, and a new roof whose crew left no trace. A 4-star September 2026 review on two exterior doors, three storm doors and a sliding window mentioned a few issues that the office handled promptly. Price is the one sour note: in a December 2025 Reddit thread, a couple comparing quotes from Nu-Face and another company said both left them sticker shocked. An earlier 2024 Reddit commenter in central Connecticut recommended them for windows and said two post-install issues were fixed promptly. Nu-Face holds an A+ BBB grade and BBB accreditation, and 4.8 stars across 206 ratings on both HomeAdvisor and Angi. Its Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0632669, is active, held by Nu-Face Home Improvements.
