Obie Comfort Solutions is an HVAC company serving Framingham and MetroWest, with the company profile listing heating, air-conditioning, ductless, boiler, furnace, heat-pump, humidifier, and water-heater work. BBB identifies the business as accredited with an A+ grade, while HomeAdvisor says it was established in 2006. Customers describe both successful installations and serious service problems. A 2022 HomeAdvisor reviewer said a heat-pump installation finished ahead of schedule and praised the crew's explanations, while a 2017 Google reviewer described a quick, reasonably priced system repair. In contrast, Houzz reviews from 2022 through 2024 include complaints about an unattended maintenance plan, repeated heat-pump failures, unresolved water-heater problems, and delayed service. The written history spans 2017 through 2024 and includes detailed praise as well as detailed complaints. Before booking, ask for the exact maintenance and callback commitments, the warranty and diagnostic-charge terms, and confirmation that the proposed scope covers any related plumbing or electrical work. Obie may suit a homeowner seeking a broad HVAC installation or repair contractor, but the mixed service record makes written scope, pricing, and follow-up terms especially important.
“Obie Comfort Solutions had lowest quote, ok install if you watch it closely and correct when it goes wrong, never followups on requests after install”
“Did a good job”
“Previous roles include Client Support Coordinator at Obie Comfort Solutions”
“I had a great experience with Obie and can recommend them without hesitation. I had a complicated central air install in an older house, and they gave me a competitive quote that was exactly what I wanted.”
I have been paying 98$ a month for a Heat (fall)/AC (spring) dual system maintenance plan for the past year (started in May 2023). I'm in for 1200$ to this day. They never showed up. Or call to schedule a service. Not sure what else is there to say...
I was a long-time customer of Obie Comfort Solutions, but unfortunately there was a major problem with my most recent experience. Long story short, the company sold me a heat pump that did not function as promised and that ultimately had to be replaced, and they have done nothing to remedy the situation.
I needed to replace my 20 year-old gas furnace and did not have AC (only the window units) so I was deciding between mini-splits or central AC. I have a forced hot air system. I got 4 estimates with different companies recommending different options and ended up with Obie as they were the most responsive in answering all my questions/concerns. I ultimately decided on central AC as well as a Bosch 2-stage variable speed furnace and couldn't be happier.
The service is so bad. I will give them 0 if there is an option. They cannot resolve the simple water heater problem for 4 weeks. Can you imagine that you live in a house without hot water for 4 weeks?
Nothing but problems with installed units and service. Heartless Water tank had to be fixed 3 times in the first week that it was installed. Now central air barely works. Not cooling the house at all even when set at 65 degrees. Service won’t come out for 10 days.
