Wellesley Plumbing & Heating has been showing up for some of its customers for over 40 years, and that kind of tenure runs through review after review — three decades here, ten years there, families who call them the "go to" without a second thought. Its Massachusetts plumbing license is active, and the Better Business Bureau lists the company as an accredited member with an A+ grade. The stories that recur are about handling real emergencies well. A rusted-through water tank quit at 10 p.m.; the customer called at 8 the next morning and had a new tank installed by 2 p.m. A badly leaking water heater got replaced within about two and a half hours of the call. A second-floor heating loop with no heat was traced to a burned-out circulating pump and fixed the next day. On the larger end, the crew has handled full HVAC system replacements, helping customers navigate the MA Saves rebate program along the way. Named staff — Bob Lynch, Katie, Brett, Joel and Scott among them — come up often enough that it reads like a company people know personally rather than a rotating crew. Not everything has gone smoothly. In a 2026 review, a prospective customer described trying repeatedly to get information by phone, email and the website's chat, finally receiving a price for a simple repair, then never hearing back — the job sat for weeks until they called to cancel. And in a 2021 review, a ten-year customer said the company sent two water filters for a tank, installed only one, denied a problem when they called about a hot-water shortfall, and only had it confirmed — sediment in the toilets, an unchanged filter — after bringing in a different plumber. For anyone in Wellesley or nearby weighing a call, this is a shop with real depth on both emergency plumbing and full heating and cooling installs, and a customer base that has stuck around for decades. The two accounts above are the exceptions worth knowing, not the rule — but worth asking about if a job needs quick follow-through.
We have used Wellesley Plumbing for years and have always been happy with them. They are friendly, professional and always go above and beyond.
Well I tried to use them as they are local. Impossible to get information. Called, emailed, web site chat. Difficult at best. Finally got information on price for a simple repair and told them to go ahead. Never hear from them again. After many weeks, I had to call and cancel. Suggest moving on. It seems like success here is doubtful. (1 star) FOUR YEARS LATER... Wife called them and after a bit of schedule bouncing they came and could not be nicer and more accurate in repairs. So overall I have to say MAYBE THE ORIGINAL SITUATION IS A FLUKE. Change to 4 stars
They are great. Use them all the time for our plumbing issues.
Our team leader, Scott managed the whole process smoothly. All of the subs were always on time and did their jobs well. They prepped the site well and cleaned up immaculately. We had a vent installed, floor tile replaced and walls and ceiling repainted in our guest bathroom. We couldn’t be happier with the job!
I had a great experience with Wellesley Plumbing & Heating. They were professional, punctual, and knowledgeable. I would certainly recommend them.
