Olde Towne Construction has one review to its name. In March 2018 a homeowner wrote that George and his crew renovated her 1886 Victorian, and called him professional, detail-oriented and honest. That is the whole customer record — and the two directory profiles behind it do not describe the same business. Houzz has a full general contractor working out of Lynn: remodeling, additions, new and modular home construction, decks, windows, cedar siding, with typical jobs running $20,000 to $2 million. Angi, listing the company at 85 Exchange Street in Lynn with 26 years behind it, has a drywall and plaster repair outfit. Same town, same name, two very different scopes. Houzz also carries a construction supervisor licence number, CS-089793. That is the directory's listing rather than a registry check. A single eight-year-old review can tell you that one Victorian renovation went well. It cannot tell you what the company takes on now, or at what size. Ask which of those two service lists is current, have the licence number checked against the state registry, and ask for two recent local jobs you can go and look at.
