Olson Home Improvement MA LLC is a Worcester mason and concrete contractor — the name behind the brickwork, stone walkway, and driveway jobs that keep showing up in its Angi and BBB listings, run by owner Mark Olsen (the business also trades as "Olson Construction" on Angi and its own site). Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active, and the company says it has 14 years in business serving Worcester. The written record so far is small — seven reviews from 2023 to 2025 across Angi and Google, plus a 2025 Reddit thread in r/WorcesterMA where a Worcester resident called him "fair and knowledgeable." Most of the 2023 Angi reviews describe the same pattern: upfront about problems as they came up, stuck around until a fence or driveway job was actually finished, cleaned up after himself. A December 2025 Angi review about a driveway calls the work fast and clean. The one sour note is a 1-star Angi review from 2024: a homeowner hired Olson for drywall crack repair and ceiling painting — outside the brick-and-concrete work the rest of the record is built on — and said the cracks reappeared within about a month, with compound left on the carpets and paint that stained a couch. Worth asking about before booking: Angi's own FAQ for this listing lists no warranties and no emergency service, which doesn't match the warranty and 24/7-availability language on the company's own website — get whatever's promised in writing. For masonry, concrete, or fence work in the Worcester area, the record so far points one way; for a job outside that specialty, like the drywall repair that went wrong, it's worth asking more questions first.
“Not sure if it’s too late to join the convo but have a great guy named Olson that I highly recommend. He is fair and knowledgeable and just a cool dude. His website is Olson Home Renovation. As for a plumber JM Appliances has been pretty good for me but have only had them over once.”
He was friendly and did an awesome job, everything was done perfectly, my driveway looks great!! Work was done fast and efficiently
Very satisfied with the projeckt from Olson
Hired Olson to repair drywall cracks throughout the house. Its been slightly over a month since repairs have been done and a majority of all of the cracks have reappeared. There was also drywall compound that was stuck to carpets throughout the house that I then had to remove. In addition to drywall crack repair I hired Olson to repaint the ceilings. There were numerous missed spots that I had to go over and they got paint on my couch which has a visible stain as this could not get fully removed.
Olson is a man of his word, he had the job done in a very timely manner though there were unforeseen obstacles along the way..He is respectful of property and in conversation informed me along the way of possible variables ..Have already recommended him for future projects and hope to work with him again..Very happy with the installation of my fence. Thank you Olson and your worker also Ms Laurie
Very nice man. Honest.
