Oscar Patino is based in Marlborough, and his Massachusetts HIC licence 188101 is active on the state registry. In a 2018 review, a customer who hired Oscar Patino to replace a ceiling damaged by a water leak wrote that his prices were considerably higher than other contractors and that he had to come back three times to redo his work. The customer wrote in 2018 that his painting left shadows all over the ceiling of a very large room, that he repainted the entire ceiling and filled the seams in the molding again twice, and that there were gaps again.
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from OSCAR PATINO. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
A day rate replaces the task list — usually the better deal once the list gets long.
Estimated range
$220 – $850
Typical handyman visit around $540
Absolutely TERRIBLE . He was hired to replace a ceiling damaged by a water leak. His prices were considerably higher than other contractors but he convinced me that he would do a better job than other contractors and was referred by a friend. I had to push hard to get my insurance company ( who had been very reasonable with past claims) to agree to his price as they thought it was unreasonable . The plasterer did a fabulous job but this contractor had to come back three times to redo his work and still there are problems. The painting done by this contactor was so bad that there were shadows all over the ceiling of the very large room. He had to repaint the entire ceiling and fill the seams in the molding over again TWICE and now there are gaps again.
