Paid up front, then gone: that is what the complaints about Osw Landscaping & Construction on Google and Angi describe. The Swampscott business lists landscaping and construction on Angi and HomeAdvisor, where it holds 3.1 stars from 7 ratings, and 2.5 stars from 8 ratings on Google. The complaints are specific. In a May 2023 Google review, a customer said they gave Oswaldo a down payment for a fence and three months later had "no fence and no money," and was taking him to court. A December 2024 Angi reviewer wrote that the company took a down payment, never showed up and stopped answering calls, adding that they are in the court system with Oswaldo. A March 2023 Google reviewer said a one-day backyard clean-up was left unfinished, with the trash never picked up after payment. In a November 2022 review, a fall clean-up left a massive pile of leaves in the yard and the reviewer had to find someone else after calls and texts went unanswered. A February 2025 Google reviewer said shelves he hung were crooked and one fell off the wall after 4 months, and that he would not come back to fix them. There is praise too, all older. A May 2024 Google review describes a spring clean-up with tree trimming, edging and new mulch, and an August 2023 reviewer said the crew was clean, friendly and reasonably priced, and that a neighbor hired them the same day. BBB gives the business an A+ grade.
Hired this man for numerous odd jobs after finding his company through Angie's List. He refused to give a solid price for the job, said it all depended on the time it took. He hung many items including clocks, shelves, etc. Items were crooked, he refused to come back and straighten the shelves. Tonight, after a mere 4 months, one of the shelves fell off the wall, damaging the items underneath and my wall. Lucky nobody was injured. He has now refused to respond to my requests to fix and reinforce the shelves that he installed poorly. I would never recommend this person for any job that you care about.
Took down payment, never showed up, stopped answering calls. One of the many "customers" of Oswaldo that's currently in the court system with him.
Very nice job for spring cleaning, tree trimming, edging and putting down new mulch.
Osw landscaping company was great , very clean friendly and they were reasonably priced. The landscaping company was so good that my neighbor hired them the same day. I would recommend this company to My friends and family.
Gave Oswaldo down payment for a fence 3 months later no fence and no money. Bringing him to court!
