Three 50-year-old trees came down in a tight spot in April 2026, and what the homeowner wrote about afterward was the sawdust — barely a speck of it left anywhere on the property. Pathfinder Tree Service works out of 2210 Providence Highway in Walpole under owner Lucas Carr, with Lisa running the office; the company says it has been in tree care since 1998 and keeps certified arborists on staff, and its Better Business Bureau file lists 11 employees and an A+ grade. Its Google page averages 4.7 across 30 ratings, and the jobs customers describe are the heavy ones. An October 2025 reviewer had watched Pathfinder take down many trees over the years, from big ones needing a crane to a climbable apple tree, including one that had fallen on the house. Another, writing in August 2025, had seven very large trees pulled off the property that June — stump grinding included, done before 4PM. A June 2025 customer of more than twenty years had three large pines taken out of a rear yard with limited access. A half-dozen reviewers end on the same detail: the cleanup. "You couldn't even tell they had been there," one wrote after a big oak came out in September 2025. A September 2025 reviewer wasn't even a customer — he watched the crew on Beacon Street in Boston take down a tree that had snapped in a storm, bucket truck and stump grinder on site. Price comes up in several reviews, mostly kindly: a December 2025 customer said Pathfinder's quote was the best of the four he got. A February 2024 reviewer strongly advised against hiring the company, saying it significantly overcharged for snow removal and landscaping, naming pruning and mulching; a July 2026 reviewer left two stars and called the company not professional. The company's own site dates it to 1998, while its Better Business Bureau file records 15 years in business. For a hazard tree over the house, a crane removal or a stump that needs grinding out, this is the crew people call back. Get a written price for anything beyond the tree work — pruning, mulching, a seasonal snow contract — and ask who will be running the job on the day.

The crew was professional & efficient. The job was well done. Thank you, Pathfinder!
Outstanding service! From start to completion! From scheduling with office manager Lisa to meeting Lucas; to his team working non stop in a tight situation, removing three, 50+ year old trees and barely leaving a speck of sawdust anywhere on our property. Each person on his team knew exactly what to do, communicating amongst themselves and carefully proceeding with each step like a fine tuned orchestra. We are more than pleased to recommend this terrific company to anyone needing any tree work done on their property. Just call. Wonderful, wonderful people!
Incredible snow removal team. Highly recommend
Pathfinder performed lifesaving surgery on my property! After purchasing a home with a poorly maintained yard left by the previous owners, they quickly improved my new home's curb appeal. Without adding anything crazy or costly to the landscape, they just trimmed back and tweaked certain areas. They gave the yard the facelift it truly needed. It was incredible to see my landscaping go from worst to best on the block. Highly recommend!
