Patriot Floor Surfacing Inc

Five Google ratings, a 5★ average, and the same first name in all five reviews: Luke. Patriot Floor Surfacing is Luke Biello's hardwood shop in Somerset, sanding, staining, refinishing and installing floors for homeowners, contractors and commercial and institutional clients around southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The company says the Biello family started it in 2013, after the 60-year-old Somerset Floor Surfacing — where Luke had worked 13 years — closed, and that he has been refinishing hardwood since 1996. What customers write about is the work and the communication around it. A July 2026 reviewer had all their floors done and said calls and texts came back promptly; a June 2026 customer had the whole house refinished and was kept in the loop as the project moved. Two 2022 reviews cover smaller work — three bedrooms in a raised ranch, sanded and refinished, and a set of stairs and a landing finished in four days by someone that homeowner described as clean and in steady communication. Price comes up in a good light. A July 2026 customer called the resurfacing price reasonable and competitive, and the June 2026 one called the pricing fair. If you have hardwood that needs sanding and refinishing — a few rooms, a staircase, or the whole house — this is a straightforward call, and it is owner-operated, so the person quoting is the person doing the work. Ask how many days the house will be out of use, how the sanding dust will be contained, and get the stain and finish written into the quote.
