A recent Google customer in a Newport, RI neighborhood described Pawtucket Hot Mix Asphalt re-doing the sidewalks and driveway aprons around their house. That customer wrote that Jordan, the person they talked to several times, made sure no damage was done to the yard, and that they took up the cobblestones lining the sidewalk and put them all back, better than before. The company's website claims 78 years in business and names Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut, with North Attleboro, East Providence and Avon as its stated service area. A 2023 Google customer called it a quick, easy and friendly place to get asphalt. A 2024 Google customer wrote that they blocked the driveway all day, caused an accident and then lied about who was driving the truck. A 2023 commenter on r/RhodeIsland wrote that the company accidentally paved their driveway instead of the intended one, at no charge, and that they never heard from the company afterward. It holds 4.4 stars from 14 Google ratings. The Better Business Bureau gives it a B- grade and lists one complaint against it.

Pawtucket Hot Mix are re-doing sidewalks and driveway aprons in my Newport RI neighborhood. Jordan was the person I talked to several times as they were working around my house. He went above and beyond to make sure that no damage was done to my yard, and to put everything back the same way. They had to take up all my cobblestones lining the sidewalk, fill in my driveway with some gravel, even removed a bush ( after asking me). It has not been an easy job as my house and many of the houses are only 2-3 feet away from the sidewalks. They have done an excellent job! All the workman were respectful, hard-working and competent. There is an art to what they are doing and it shows! They even put back all the cobblestones, better than before!!! Jordan was easy to talk to, professional, answered all my questions and did a great job! I highly recommend him and Pawtucket Hot Mix.
If I could give this company 0 stars I would do that. They are unprofessional, rude, and lie. They blocked my driveway all day and caused an accident and then lied about who actually was driving the truck. Stay away from them at all costs.
