Nine homeowners have reviewed PBA Designs on Houzz, and all nine gave it five stars — a small but unbroken run for a North Andover kitchen and bath design practice run by Pamela Bearor-Amiralian. Its Houzz profile shows 73 posted projects and lists kitchen design, bathroom design, custom cabinets, 3D rendering and universal design among the work it takes on. What people hired her for, in their own words, is planning: cabinets, countertops, finishes and layouts settled before anyone swings a hammer. A homeowner writing in January 2023 described a kitchen in a house built in 1790, remodeled and added onto over the years, and credited her with bringing their ideas to life while offering other solutions that kept the price reasonable. Another, in February 2015, walked through choosing cabinets, finishes, backsplash, a quartz countertop and appliances inside a set budget. A 2019 reviewer who renovates and flips houses said they had used her kitchen design services on several projects, and that installations go more smoothly when she is involved. Bathrooms come up as often as kitchens: a 2020 reviewer hired her for a bathroom first and came back for the kitchen, and a February 2015 client used her on two bathrooms at once. Two things are worth knowing before calling. Her work sits alongside the building trades rather than replacing them — a March 2015 reviewer said their own contractor installed everything she had specified, and a February 2015 client described the workmen arriving on the schedule she kept them informed about. And the written history is dated: the nine reviews run from February 2015 to January 2023. She is the right call for a homeowner who wants a kitchen or bathroom laid out, specified and priced before construction starts, particularly in an older house where the layout fights back. Ask who will do the physical installation, and ask to see work she has designed recently.
