"Since the conclusion of my project, I have not seen a drop of water in my basement." That 2011 Angi review is the kind of job Perennial Landscaping is built for: the hardscape and drainage work where the yard and the wet basement are the same problem. Mike Winslow founded the Boxford company in 1992 and still runs it; the website lists paver walkways, driveways and patios, retaining and stone walls, French and exterior drains, grading, steps and snow removal. The written reviews stretch from 2008 to 2022 and are mostly older, so read them as history. The most recent, on Google in July 2022, described an old railroad-tie wall and a hill taken out, the grade leveled, huge boulders removed and the ledge that could not be moved worked into the design. In 2016, a homeowner mid-project said the crew was fixing a wet basement and putting the yard and garden back better than before; a 2017 customer called the finished walkway amazing and Mike direct and good to work with. Older accounts from 2008 to 2015 repeat fair local bids, a crew with little downtime, flexibility as a project evolved, and being on time. Angi and HomeAdvisor share one listing at 5.0 from 9 ratings; Google shows 5.0 from 2. Landscaping and hardscape work does not require a home improvement registration in Massachusetts, and no licence appears on the listings. The right call north of Boston for a retaining wall, a paver walkway or patio, or a drainage fix that needs the grading done right. Ask for photos of recent walls and drains, since the written accounts are a few years old, and get the drainage plan on paper before the excavator arrives.
