Peter L. Brown is an exterior remodeler in East Granby; its BuildZoom profile says it has offered siding installation, window replacement, roofing, new doors and gutter protection to Connecticut homeowners since 1960. A recent customer whose vinyl siding was damaged by winter snow and ice said the company matched the shade of green and the texture, did the repair ahead of schedule, and kept the price within the insurance adjuster's estimate. A recent customer who hired the company for a new roof and siding said the crews cleaned up each day. On a 1954 house with window styles and sizes that varied from room to room, a recent customer said Pete and Dave spent 2 weeks installing the windows, and the siding was stripped and replaced in a week. A 2025 customer said they were given a 12-week install date, the installers arrived in the 12th week, and Peter and Dave replaced a large basement window in a couple of hours. A 2022 customer said rot found on the porch took about 2 days to repair and changed the initial quote, and that Scott texted pictures of the rot and explained the costs. A 2024 customer who had used the company several times for siding repair said its gutter protection product left areas at the bottom of the roof valleys overflowing. On BuildZoom, a 2021 customer said the triple-pane windows they bought leaked cold air, many sashes had to be replaced for faulty seals, and the company did not honor its lifetime guarantee after the manufacturer went out of business. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0500522, as active, held by Peter L Brown Co.
We are very happy with the service The Peter L Brown co provided in replacing our door and storm door. We worked out the detail with Brian and doors were installed by Pete. Both were professional and friendly. I would recommend Peter L Brown for service they provide.
Had front door and my cellar door (cheap wood closet door put in by builder) replaced as both were very drafty. Had both taped up for yrs every winter.Eversource did their insulation which all fell off. Could see sunlight thru front door from top to bottom. Not anymore. Pete and Dave are a fabulous team. New doors, new frame, new insulation. Very happy with how beautiful they look. Chose different colors for front door Inside matched my living room walls.Outside chose color similar to orig door. Scott, sales rep , helped me pick out all features and answered all my questions. I'm ready for winter this year!
We recently hired Peter L. Brown to install a new roof and siding on our home and couldn't be any happier with the result. Scott took a lot of time with us to provide a detailed estimate, and once we decided to go ahead with them, really helped us with design choices. Brian provided great communication about the job schedule and what we could expect throughout the project. The crews were friendly and efficient, and cleaned up each day. For such a big job, we couldn't have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this company!
Worked with them to select a storm door for the front door of our home. We chose the Provia Decorator Series, very impressed with the construction of storm door and the all glass model, from the road can’t tell we have a storm door installed. Installation and fit was perfect and air tight, will provide protection from rain and better insulation during winter months!
My vinyl siding was damaged by winter snow and ice. Peter L Brown was able to match the shade of green and even the texture exactly. The repair was done ahead of schedule. Pricing was within the insurance adjuster’s estimate. It looks great - a perfect match!
