Pinegrove Construction runs custom-home builds, gut renovations and multi-unit residential projects out of Natick, co-founded and owner-operated by Paul Vergara and Myles Walker. The company's own site points to Greater Boston work -- East Boston condo buildings, Cambridge townhouses, Newton renovations -- alongside the whole-house remodels that show up in its reviews. The written record is thin but consistent. In a 2021 Google review, a homeowner described a full renovation of a 1925 colonial: a first-floor restructure into a more open layout, a kitchen gut, and three bathroom guts. A 2024 Houzz review from an interior designer called the team efficient and organized, crediting their process for working through the obstacles that come with renovating older Boston buildings. Both accounts are five stars, and the company carries an A+ Better Business Bureau grade with no complaints on file across eight years in business, though it isn't BBB-accredited. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration (190891) is verified active. BuildZoom and Houzz also list a personal construction supervisor license (CS-111997) for Myles Walker -- a separate license from the company's own registration, which is the normal arrangement rather than a discrepancy. What's worth asking about: the written record is short, just two reviews four years apart, so there isn't much of a paper trail beyond those two accounts and the BBB's clean file. For a full renovation or a multi-unit build in the Boston area, the record on hand points to organized, communicative work through complicated older-building projects -- worth confirming current licensing and asking for a few references from recent jobs before signing on.
The Pinegrove team are some of the most efficient and organized builders that I have had the pleasure of working with. Paul and Myles are always thinking 10 steps ahead to deliver a top notch product. As an interior designer, their detailed process and high quality tradesmen are key in a successful project. They know the ins and outs of every project and are ready to work out a solution to any obstacle that arises (which is quite often when renovating Boston buildings)
I cannot say enough good things about working with the Pinegrove Construction team on our home renovation! We renovated our 1925 colonial home, this included; restructure of the first floor to create a more open floor plan, kitchen gut and renovation, three bathroom gut and renovation. The bathroom renovations included making the master bath larger to accommodate a double vanity and they even added a closet to our master bedroom. Myles & Paul were incredibly easy to work with, very communicative and managed our budget and timing expectations throughout the project. Similarly, the subcontractors they hired and managed were experts in their craft and hard-working. In addition to the excellent customer service the final product exceeded me and my husband's expectations. We wanted to maintain the character of the old home and Myles didn't miss a detail -- he did everything from replicating the profile of our trim for the new spaces to building a custom wood countertop for our dry bar area. Safe to say if we embark on another home renovation project they will be our fist call.
