Pip Dirt Works

I cannot recommend Alex and PIP Dirt Works highly enough. We found ourselves dealing with an unexpected water issue at our new home, and Alex was exactly the person you want on your side in a stressful situation. He was incredibly communicative, thoughtful, professional, and thorough from start to finish. What impressed me most was that he didn’t just show up ready to do an expensive job. He took the time to understand the problem, worked closely with the Town/DPW, and approached everything thoughtfully. Ultimately, the issue turned out to be different and much less extensive than originally anticipated, and Alex handled the entire situation with complete professionalism and integrity. Beyond being excellent at what he does, Alex was just a genuinely calming presence during a pretty stressful week. He kept us informed, explained what was happening, and made us feel like we were in very capable hands. I would hire Alex and PIP Dirt Works again without hesitation and recommend them to anyone. Truly a great experience with a great local company.

So happy that we had Pip Dirtworks help us reimagine our outdoor space by adding a retaining wall with patio in front of our home. Alex started by removing a natural wall around a sparse grassy area and constructed a proper retaining wall with drainage. He built out a large patio and incorporated concrete posts under the pavers for a pergola and hot tub to be added as part of patio build. The patio itself is exactly what we were looking for and he finished it by installing lights on the patio and under the steps including the multi-dimensional ones leading to the house. Alex used a “sandless” patio brick to ensure permeability (great benefit as you don’t get sand on your feet!). Alex and team were so pleasant to work with and they were extremely professional and punctual. We are completely happy with the results and looking forward to working with them again.

Hired PIP Dirt Works out of Meredith, NH to finish our roughed in driveway and parking area. We also had him put along side it a drainage ditch that we much needed for water run off. Alex (the owner) is one hec of a hard worker with great communication skills:) We’re extremely happy with the work he did:) Went above and beyond! We highly recommend him!

Working with Alex and PIP Dirt Works was seamless and could not have been a better experience. My wife and I were going through the process of building a large 14x24 shed on our property in Meredith, being in a water protected zone, there were a lot of moving parts and Alex's was not one we needed to worry about ever. I reached out to nearly 10 different site work companies in the greater lakes region and Alex called me back same day. He worked with my schedule to meet me at the property even when snow was still on the ground to go over the basic idea. When the project began, we could not be on site and never felt like we weren't. Alex stayed in contact nearly daily on updates and project timeline status checks as we had very specific deadlines throughout the process. Even with us changing some of the project scope, adding wish list items, Alex made it all work even coming on weekends to regain lost time from the wet spring. Our footings and carrying rails went in perfectly and on time. Alex met with inspectors throughout the process and was onsite on the day construction began to make sure everything was as they needed. The building crew unexpectedly added a secondary sub floor, raising the structure above the grade both Alex and us were expecting. He quickly solved the issue with the time-consuming building of retaining walls and land pitching and make the whole area look better than we were originally expecting. He took a personal level of care and pride in the project even at the end washing down by hand the granite steps installed because they had some dirt smudges on them from the hoist used to lay in place. All again staying on time and coming in under our original expected budget. We could not recommend more hiring Alex and PIP for any of your site work and landscape construction needs. Couldn't be happier with the work from Pip Dirt Works. They've handled a lot of different projects for us from parking lot grading and graveling, bank and brush reduction and erosion stone placement, stump removal, and dug up and replaced the failed drainage pipe around the barn foundation, then regraded the yard so water flows away properly. Results look great and function even better. We'll be having them come back out for retaining wall work, concrete removal, and a new paver walkway installed. Professional, dependable, and easy to work with. Highly recommend!
