PitStop Propane and Fuels delivers heating oil out of Gorham, and one recent Google customer thanked the driver for the treats he gave their barking dog while he filled the oil tank. The company's own site describes its work as fuel delivery and lists a service area that runs from Gorham and Standish to Portland, Falmouth, Freeport and Bridgton. A recent Google customer said two technicians were thorough and polite while removing old propane tanks on both of the customer's properties. A reddit commenter wrote that Pitstop put a hold on their account for an order because the price fluctuates so much. In a 2025 reddit thread, a commenter said Pitstop is a little higher but they have always been pleased with it. A 2023 Google customer called the company reliable and said it came as soon as possible when they needed heating oil, including in bad weather. A 2026 Google reviewer, writing for a friend, said a delivery promised for a Friday never came, and calls about it reached only the answering service. A propane industry site has described the company supplying renewable propane for school buses.
“Pitstop put a hold of 500 on my account for 100 gallons because the price fluctuates so much.”
“We use Pitstop. They’re a little higher but we’ve always been pleased with them.”
“This renewable propane, supplied by PitStop Propane and Fuels , even further reduces emissions and fuels their school buses without any sacrifices to performance or reliability.”
Both technicians were EXTREMELY thorough and polite. From start of removing the prior propane tanks, on both of our properties, to end .. Over and above. Thank you. We look forward to doing business with you.
Thank the driver for the treats he gave my dog that barked at him while he was filling up our oil tank he was sorry and won't do it again.
Write this review for a friend. On a Tuesday he called to schedule a delivery they said they would be out on Friday. They never delivered. Called to find out why they never delivered and got the answering service. No answers to where the fuel is.
PitStop has always been great. These guys are very reliable and come asap when you need them for heating oil. They always deliver outstanding customer service, especially during the worst weather..
