A February 2020 customer described a bay window seat built for a small kitchen; a December 2019 homeowner said an ugly old brick fireplace had become, with the carpenter's guidance, a "work of art." Across fifteen written reviews, one name turns up in roughly half of them: Teagan. The Haverhill company describes itself as a custom woodworking and carpentry business — porches, decks, patios, cabinets, built-ins, furniture and wet bars — with general contracting offered alongside. Its BBB page lists it as a non-accredited general contractor, graded A+, in business since 2018. The written history is dated but detailed: fifteen reviews from 2018 through 2021 across HomeAdvisor and Angi, 4.9 from 16 HomeAdvisor ratings and 4.9 from 18 on Angi, with HomeAdvisor putting 94% of its 16 ratings at five stars. Punctuality comes up in several of the 2019 and 2020 reviews — arriving right on time, finishing in record time, leaving the site clean. In June 2019 a homeowner described a water intrusion problem repaired with thought and precision. The newest account, from September 2021, came from a customer who had cycled through other contractors off the same platform first and called Plank & Pine "the real deal." In an August 2025 r/northshore thread, a commenter called Teagan, the owner, an extremely good carpenter and wrote that he replaced some rotten windows, installed a new door and frame, and rebuilt their deck. Communication runs right behind the woodwork. A September 2019 reviewer said the time estimates were spot on; a January 2021 customer found him easy to talk to about what they wanted, and an August 2019 one was kept informed the whole way through. One thing to settle before you call: how long the company has actually been working. Angi's listing says in business since 2000, its HomeAdvisor profile claims 26 years of experience, and BBB puts the start at 2018. Ask which of those describes the business you would be hiring. For a defined piece of work — a built-in, a run of cabinets, a deck or porch — where fit and finish matter more than crew size, this is a sensible call. The written accounts run 2018 to 2021, so ask to see recent work, and get scope, timeline and price in writing before anything is cut.
