PODS Moving & Storage runs a portable-container location at 220 O'Connell Way in East Taunton, offering local and long-distance moves plus month-to-month container storage; the Better Business Bureau lists it as A+ rated for moving, long-distance moving, relocations, and storage. Homeowners who've used the Taunton depot consistently name individual drivers when they write in. Steve Smith comes up more than once for threading a sixteen-foot container past low overhead wires and around a tricky driveway corner, and for showing up with a replacement truck within half an hour when his own broke down mid-job. Jon T. gets similar praise for calling ahead to double-check a driveway's layout and then reworking the container's placement once he saw the original plan wouldn't work. Other reviewers single out Holly and Evan for friendly, attentive service during drop-off and pickup, and Google shows a 4.5-star average across 92 ratings. Most of what people describe is a straightforward, low-drama move or storage stint — a father-in-law's apartment moved from Massachusetts to Maryland, a single-room renovation stored in an 8-foot container, a booking process reviewers call easy to handle by text and phone. Set against that, a real minority of reviews describe the kind of billing and scheduling problems that show up at large moving operations. One customer was called at 10am to cancel a scheduled 2pm drop-off and was still charged $160 for it, with no time left to rearrange helpers. Another says a quote from the sales team wasn't honored by billing and turned into a nearly $800 dispute, despite calling the sales team and drivers excellent. Several other reviewers describe a container simply not arriving on the promised day, forcing them to cancel or reschedule movers they'd already hired, and one reported a container that wasn't fully sealed, letting bugs and ants reach items stored inside over two weeks. Worth asking about before booking: get delivery and pickup windows and any cancellation terms in writing, and confirm who to call if a scheduled date slips, since several complaints trace to phone-based customer service rather than to the local drivers themselves. For a standard container move or storage rental, the driver-level experience described here is consistently attentive and careful.
Holly was wicked amazing!! She picked up with such a positive attitude and really made our whole move way more peaceful. Her professionalism and customer service felt so genuine! She deserves a raise!
Paul and Tim were a great pick-up team. The 8’ POD was a perfect storage solution for our single room renovation. It felt like a good value. I will use PODs again.
Minor issues with initial delivery of empty pod, but VERY responsive pickup. Evan is extremely talented at manuevering a 16' POD in demanding locations. He's an asset to the brand.
Yall. Jon T is the bomb dot com. He’s such a great guy. I’m so blessed. Great service. Great process.
Jon T was so friendly, so helpful, and so efficient! We hope you hire people like him!
