One recent job at Polke Painting & Remodeling LLC began as an outside paint job and grew into popcorn ceilings removed, baseboards and a front door replaced, and almost all of the interior repainted. The company says it has been in business 40 years and lists Southbury, New Haven, Fairfield and Litchfield as its service area. On Google it holds 4.6 stars from 51 ratings. Painting is the steady work. A 2024 customer said the company recovered kitchen cabinets from the wrong paint a previous owner had used, with removable parts taken to a shop for spraying. A 2025 customer said their 51-year-old kitchen cabinets were painted, and that Mr Polke gave a reasonable price and worked around their schedule. Color choice is part of the job: a 2025 customer said Pam helped choose colors for the cabinets, walls, flooring and trim. A 2023 customer said Greg, the owner, returned the call for an estimate the very next day. The remodeling side reaches whole rooms. A 2024 customer said Greg and crew worked 16 straight days to finish remodeling two bathrooms, with Pam serving as design consultant. A 2025 customer said the company rebuilt a bathroom and kitchen after a flood and worked with the insurance company. A 2022 customer described a bathroom renovation that involved removing an old cast iron bathtub on a second floor, along with tile, shiplap and molding. A 2025 customer said paint started peeling off the house three months after the whole house was painted, and that calls brought promises to stop by that were never kept. A 2022 customer said the company damaged a cook top, acknowledged it, said it would make good on it, and never answered their call again. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0544312, as active, held by Gregory Polke.
We had a wonderful experience working with Polke painting! Our job started as just an outside paint job, but grew and grew as we realized how great they were to work with. We ended up getting all the popcorn ceilings removed, baseboards replaced, front door replaced, dining room chair rail replaced and updated, and almost all of the interior repainted along with all the wood doors painted and rehung! Greg and Pam were wonderful to work with- Pam was so great working with us on choosing colors that really updated our house and gave it a warm, clean and cozy feel. Greg was responsive and flexible with all our questions and decisions throughout the project. We are so happy with the work they did and would definitely recommend them for not just painting but remodeling as well! We love our updated house!
Greg and his team were great ! A very pleasant experience. His crew takes pride in their work.Fair price.Highly recommend.
Excellent job once again. I have used Gregg and his team multiple times to repair and paint my house. They are efficient, neat, polite and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend them for any home projects.
After 3 months the paint started peeling off the house after you just painted the entire house. Paint should not be peeling after only 3 months. We called several times and was always told we will stop by…. And you never did! Sorry I cannot recommend your company.
Greg and the crew have always done a great and fast job painting either our home or offices. Reliable and fair pricing.
